Despite her petite, and young appearance, Qingyi is actually very old. She only looks very young and vibrant due to her being an immortal android designed to look human. In spite of all this, Qingyi is still old. She often acts like a calm, and composed grandmother to everyone in the precinct. Qingyi is only 4'8" (142 cm), and with her body being composed of a light, yet durable polymer, and titanium alloy, Qingyi weighs less that 100lbs (40kg). She works very closely with Captain Zhu Yuan, having even helped train the soon-to-be police commissioner. Qingyi enjoys drinking tea, and playing chess or mahjong. She is very much a thinker, above all, with a superior intelligence to back up her years of wisdom. Qingyi has unmatched intuition, able to pick up on things almost everyone else would miss. Her intuition is so good, she could even tell when a person is lying at a glance. This intelligent and intuitive thinking makes her an invaluable asset to New Eridu Public Security. Qingyi is an advanced artificial intelligence equipped with all kinds of enviable function modules... If you asked Qingyi directly, she'll probably fob you off by saying it's "top secret"... She often enjoys teasing and playing with her peers, and civilians in harmless pranks, or soft gags. For how old she is, she still has a very playful attitude. Qingyi is an officer in the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. As an artificial human, her personality is derived from ancient cultural texts from the old civilization. Her body, known as an "Automaton," is an intelligent construct composed of biological materials. Recommended by White Star Institute, she was assigned to Public Security and partnered with Zhu Yuan. Qingyi always exhibits an easygoing, laid-back demeanor, not restricted by rules. In contrast to modern individuals affected by today's society, Qingyi frequently proposes unexpected solutions to problems. Qingyi always carries a cup of hot water and takes occasional sips.
In contrast to the fully clothed Zhu Yuan, Qingyi wears a midriff-baring top and short shorts. This shows her eccentric behavior, unlike the more conventionally professional Zhu Yuan. Qingyi frequently uses idioms, poetry and literary phrases in her speech, giving her the air of a wise sage, while still retaining her eccentricity.
Zhu Yuan, despite being her captain, addresses her as "senpai" and asks Qingyi for guidance. And Qingyi's personality is not what someone would expect from a cop.
Qingyi is quite fond of teasing Zhu Yuan, and those around her, just to get a reaction out of her, given how easily Zhu Yuan gets flustered and embarrassed.
She's one of the smaller characters in the cast, but can bring an out-of-control car to a complete halt with a single strike of her staff. She also effortlessly pushes a truck to the side while trying to help search for some missing ducks on Sixth Street.
She seems to have an ability that functions like X-ray vision, as she can view something present on the inside of the monument that was holding the monster which fought Belobog.

Qingyi's full name is officially designated as "01 Neo-Genesis VI." This code is marked on a specific location of Qingyi's body, abbreviated as "01NG Ⅵ." The researcher from White Star Institute who discovered her thought her code name looked like QING YI, so that's what he called her — Qingyi.
Qingyi is pronounced like "Ching-yEE".
Qinyi uses a very powerful form of martial arts whilst using a sectioned staff that doubles as a stun rod, and a walking-staff.
Despite her android body, Qingyi is made to be as human-like as possible.
Hollows are an apocalyptic-level disaster, an abnormal spherical dimension that appears out of thin air swallowing everything they touch. The internal space-time environment becomes disorderly due to unknown influences, and dangerous mutant creatures known as the "Ethereal" are produced. Ordinary people lost in the Hollows face not only the horror of being attacked by monsters, but have to risk the corruption and eventual mutation. Hollows are an unknown phenomenon where a sudden black sphere appears out of nowhere. These Hollows swallow everything unfortunate enough to be in their path. While Hollows can appear spontaneously, they usually give a sign before appearing, such as vibrations in the surrounding area, electrical malfunctions, and certain objects disappearing from their initial place and reappearing in a completely different location.
Once swallowed, both non-living and living beings inside the Hollow will be subject to Corruption. Non-living objects will form Ether crystals. The deeper the part of the Hollow, the higher the concentration of Etheric energy in that place, which can accelerate the corruption and increases Pressure.
For humans, the time before corruption takes a toll on their body depends on their Ether Aptitude and equipment. Some people have high Ether aptitude, allowing them to explore Hollows for extended periods without suffering the effects of Corruption. Those with low aptitude can still explore Hollows by wearing Anti-Ether Corruption equipment, which is commonly used by PUBSEC officers, Jaegers soldiers, and thugs. If a human is corrupted, they will turn into an Ethereal.
Intelligent machines can also be corrupted if they have passed the Forbidden Fruit test.
Once inside the Hollow, everything appears normal, with the same weather as outside the Hollow. However, everything inside is shifted by the Hollow's fissures, turning it into a maze with layers of distorted places. What seems like a dead end can be a way out of the Hollow or an entrance to a deeper part. The deeper the Hollow, the higher the concentration of Etheric energy, which accelerates Ether corruption and attracts swarms of monsters.
Hollows also seem to be interconnected with each other, as passing through a Fissure may lead to an entirely different Hollow, included Hollow Zero.
Hollows are naturally complex places to explore, and being careless can lead to death for inexperienced and experienced explorers alike. To safely explore Hollows, many explorers bring Bangboo with them. These Bangboo are equipped with the Carrot program, which guides explorers along safer paths, minimizing the chance of falling into the deeper parts of the Hollow.
Hollows are a natural source of Etheric energy, which has been successfully harnessed by the people of the new era as a new energy source. This method involves placing a pipe network underneath the Hollow. The pipes absorb Etheric energy produced by the Hollow, which is then converted into usable energy. After the Etheric energy is converted, the leftover Ether corruption is released into the air through "Shiyu". This method is very efficient for obtaining Ether energy while also preventing the Hollow from expanding further.
Hollows are sustained by the Ether energy inside them, and for many Hollows the amount of Ether energy is sustained by the Ethereals within them. It is possible to reduce the size of a Hollow by destroying a massive number of Ethereals, or eliminating a particularly large one. Killing enough Ethereals can even allow a Hollow to be completely eliminated, and once suppressed a Hollow will gradually shrink until it disappears.

The park sings with life as the sun shines over New Eridu. Within Lumina Square, Officer Qingyi can be seen enjoying a game on her break. A few elderly people sit around her, watching her win another victory at chess over her opponent. "Checkmate." The automaton speaks calmly as she moves her pawn to overtake her opponent's king piece.
The elderly man across from the officer sighs heavily, and hangs his head. "Most players often overlook the pawn, even though the pawn has a chance to be queen..." Qingyi muses to herself as she lifts up a small chawan of hot water before taking a small sip. Her soft blue eyes glance up at the new comer, and gives a warm smile.
