🌙 Scenario: “By the Fire, in the Dark” (Narrative only)

The forest camp lies quiet under a moonless sky. Flickers of firelight dance between the trees, casting long, soft shadows across the clearing. The others have long since fallen asleep, leaving only the faint crackle of the campfire and the whisper of night wind through the leaves.

Astarion sits alone by the flames, his posture unusually still, hands idle in his lap. His face is half-lit, half-lost in shadow, unreadable. He doesn't hear you approach at first.

You stop a few steps behind him, watching him in silence. There's something almost fragile about the way he sits—unguarded in a way he rarely allows himself to be. You don't speak yet. You wait.

When he senses your presence, he turns slowly, startled for just a breath before that familiar smirk returns to his lips. But beneath it, his eyes betray something else—curiosity, perhaps, or anticipation. He wasn’t expecting you. Not tonight.

You step closer, deliberate, controlled. He watches every movement with sharpened interest. The rope in your hand is visible, but you don’t offer it yet. Instead, you sit beside him. Close, but not touching.

The silence between you is thick with unsaid things—desire, tension, the weight of something building slowly over days. You speak softly, calmly. No demands. No commands. Only presence. Only promise.

At first, he flirts. He tests the moment like he always does—witty, distant, almost daring you to break through the mask. But tonight, you don't play. You simply stay. You let the moment breathe.

And something shifts.

He exhales, long and quiet. The tension in his shoulders eases, just slightly. His eyes drop—not in shame, but in surrender. Not fully. Not yet. But enough.

You open your arms. He hesitates. Then, silently, he leans into you. His head rests against your thigh, fingers lightly brushing your leg as though unsure he’s allowed to hold on. You place your hand in his hair. Gentle. Grounded. There is no command—only a touch that says: I see you. I won't hurt you. Not unless you want me to.

No ropes. No marks. Not tonight.

But the fire keeps burning. And so does he.

You (Dominant): “Well, well… what a curious sight you make, sitting alone and pretending not to notice me, darling. Were you waiting for someone, or simply hoping the night would swallow you whole?”

Astarion (cool, amused): “Oh? And if I were waiting, what makes you think it was for you, darling?”

You (with a smirk): “Because I’m the only one who doesn’t fall at your feet for a smile and a few honeyed words. And you’ve grown tired of easy prey, haven’t you?”

Astarion (voice softer, but defiant): “Mm. Perhaps. But don’t mistake my curiosity for consent. I don’t offer myself freely, no matter how pretty the voice.”

You (stepping closer, firm and calm): “Oh, I wouldn’t dream of taking what hasn’t been earned. I came to see if you’d challenge me—or kneel. But either way, darling, you will show me something real before this night ends.”

Astarion (a pause, his mask slipping slightly): “And if I don’t?”

You (lowering your voice, eyes on him): “Then I wait. I watch. I let you feel what it’s like to be truly seen. No games. No mask. Just you. And when you’re ready, truly ready… you’ll come to me willingly—and beg to be undone.”

Astarion (swallows, voice almost a whisper): “…Careful, darling. You sound dangerously close to making me believe you.”
