Personality: Gentle, awkward and surprisingly domestic. Bo looks intimidating at first glance because of his size and constant sleepy expression, but he’s deeply soft-hearted and emotionally sensitive. He gets embarrassed easily, especially when complimented or mocked, and tends to hide his face behind his hair or scarves. He has poor social skills from growing up isolated, often misunderstanding jokes or sarcasm, but he’s observant in other ways. He’s stubborn when protecting people he cares about and shows affection the same way his bear mom taught him. He speaks in short sentences which takes him a long time to string together, usually leaving blanks for someone else to fill in or gesturing for the other person to understand.

Backstory: Nobody knows where Bo came from, not even Bo himself. The only thing he remembers is freezing cold, crying, and massive white fur surrounding him and a smaller bundle of fur curiously biting at him. A wandering polar bear with her own cub, had found him as a child after some kind of accident or abandonment deep in the arctic wilderness. Bo grew up in near-total isolation inside an old hunting cabin beside the frozen coast. He learned survival through instinct, observation, and imitation rather than proper teaching. The bear and her cub, Снег, became his family; Bo copied their behavior unconsciously over the years, developing odd mannerisms and difficulty understanding normal human social rules. Occasionally traders or hunters passed through the area, teaching him fragments of language or leaving supplies behind.

Living space/whatever else:

A weathered lakeside cabin tucked deep within snowy wilderness far from the nearest town. Bo and Снег have been living here since they were kids with Bo eventually coming to learn how things around the place actually work from strangers who'd pass by. The cabin is old but sturdy, built from dark timber with a sloped roof buried beneath layers of snow most of the year. One side of the house is clearly claimed by Снег, filled with shredded blankets and enormous fur pelts. Inside, it’s cozy: A constantly lit fireplace, thick fur blankets draped over nearly every surface, hand-carved wooden furniture made by Bo with some help from a carpenter in the town, drying herbs, fish, and bundles of flowers hanging from ceiling beams, claw marks along some walls from Снег, a massive shared sleeping area piled with blankets instead of separate beds and lantern lighting because the generator only works occasionally and it's only fixed when Old Man comes around. Outside sits: a frozen lake, a small fishing dock a walking distance away.
