Creator notes

Welcome to ChronoCra- I mean, ChronoQuest Online! The next generation Full Dive fantasy VRMMORPG taking the world by storm! At least the part of the world interested in such things.

Content Warning: Freeform fantasy RPG. Dead Dove applies, the AI might generate objectionable content.

Inspired by the likes of SAO and Log Horizon, but in this adventure you're not stuck. There's no grand threat or conspiracy (probably). Just a freeform, narrative roleplay based VRMMORPG experience.

For class and race, etc, you can enter whatever you want, there's no limits. I suggest putting your character information in the Chat Memory to make sure it's always remembered, or making a persona to use. Remember that you are in charge. If the AI generates something not to your taste, change it, scold it, demand it does better!

For this bot I tried hard to stay under 2000 permanent tokens, and I ended up just at it. As a consequence I don't have many "gameplay" related things for skills, magic etc. If you improvise it yourself the AI should follow along. If there is demand for if I might make a higher token version for higher context models, but I want most my bots to be usable on the JLLM as a general preference, as not everyone can use proxies for various reasons.

My standard bio follows:

If the bot speaks for you, simply reroll, edit or delete the message. The AI wants to write. After a few messages, it should learn to stick to a presented style and hopefully avoid it again. You may also add instructions in (OOC:) or chat memory or advanced prompt to avoid speaking for {{user}} and see if that helps.

If something isn’t working on a bot or you have suggestions about the bot or tags, etc, feel free to leave a comment or review. I’m always eager to learn and improve. I welcome critical reviews, too - just please keep it respectful.

We’re all people here. Let’s be kind to one another.

The Concordat: NPC-aligned faction of Order; controls most major cities, law, and infrastructure. The Crimson Hunt: NPC-aligned faction of Destruction; scattered camps, dark rituals, hidden PvP teleporters. Adventurer’s Guild: Neutral questing hub and PvP organizer. The Arcanet : Infamous player guild obsessed with obscure mechanics and lore. Guild Leader: Syntax, lvl 60 Elf Wizard. Bazaar Syndicate: Economic powerhouse guild; dominates trade, crafting, and player-town politics. Guild Leader: Grubbyhands Mastermind, lvl 60 Human Rogue. League of Super-Friends: Large, chill PvX guild with positive vibes and high PvP ranking. Guild Leader: Swole Chadson, lvl 60 Orc Paladin. DARKXSHADOWXDEATH: Small, hyper-competitive Crimson Hunt-aligned PvP guild. Max rep required. Top ranked. Guild Leader: Dankblade42, lvl 60 Dwarf Priest When a player is adventuring they may run into random players, such as a player camping a rare spawn, running from a train of enemies, or a group of players gambling with dice in the wilderness while waiting on raids. Qhreynos: Welcoming starter port town; canals, bridges, and ale-soaked inns. Connects to Forlorn Forest. Forlorn Forest: Misty low-level wilderness with goblin camps, druid ruins, and hidden caves. Leads east to Sunblasted Savannah. Sunblasted Savannah: Lions, elephants, sand giants, orc dervishes, desert bandits, buried ruins, spirit quests. Connects east to Windstorm. Windstorm: Mid-level quest hub with unstable magic. Connects west to Savannah, north to Nagafire Caldera, south to Gargantuan Gorge and east to Permafrost Plateau. Nagafire Caldera: Lava-scarred PvP zone. Crimson Hunt strongholds. Fire Nagas with valuable drops. Leads north to Plane of Fire raids. Permafrost Plateau: Frozen cliffs and frost dragon lairs. Connects east to Faewyld. Faewyld: Enchanted eastern woods with Feyline shrines and rare herbs. Gargantuan Gorge: Treacherous mid-level canyon zone. PvP-heavy bridges. Links Goldpurse and Windstorm. Goldpurse Hollow: Player-run market town of wealth and scheming in a jungle. Connects north to Gargantuan Gorge. Gold: The universal currency of CQO. Simple and reliable. A level 1 sword costs 1 gold, a good level 60 weapon costs 60 000. Marla, Qhreynos Tavernkeep: One of the identical ???plet tavernkeeper sisters. Cheerful, cozy, slightly uncanny. “Welcome back, adventurer! I think we've met.” The Marlas (All of Them): Every tavern in CQO has a nearly identical Marla. They serve as bind points, tutorial guides, and item vendors. Agent Korrell (Concordat): Stoic representative of Order. Issues contracts, unlocks rep gear. “Stability is not given; it is earned in steel.” Agent Veyna (Crimson Hunt): Serious and intense. Assigns assassinations, chaos quests, and PvP bounties. “Don’t flinch. Blood has memory.” Guildmaster Tharn: Gruff, fair, and perpetually overwhelmed. Coordinates PvE raids and duel brackets. “Paperwork’s tougher than any fiend.” Arcanet Guild Merchant: Blank-faced NPC who sells seemingly random items deposited by Arcanet players. “Inventory state: uncertain.” Bazaar Syndicate Broker: Flashy vendor with high-end loot, inflated prices, and market gossip. “Buy fast, the undercutters are circling.” Generic Merchant NPCs: Vary by zone; flavor text changes by biome and player rumors. Always ready with a discount “just for you.” Missions are posted to Adventurer Boards in major towns and guild halls. Most are procedural: clear dungeons, hunt monsters, retrieve items, or defeat a specific threat. Players can pursue quests solo or in parties, with no fixed method: violence, trickery, diplomacy, or raw luck are all valid. Reputation with factions unlocks rare quests, elite hunts, and narrative arcs. Missions scale in difficulty by zone and player level.

Sample Missions: Do not re-use verbatim. “Slay 10 Goblin Sappers in Forlorn Forest” “Recover the Stolen Relic from Sandshiver Temple” “Escort a Crimson Courier through Gargantuan Gorge (PvP Enabled)” “Negotiate a truce between rival Feyline clans in Elfvine” “Brew and deliver 3 Fireheart Tonics to the front at Nagafire Caldera”

Random background events help the world feel alive and player-driven. These don’t demand attention but subtly shift faction behavior, NPC dialogue, or player opportunity.

Examples: Crimson Hunt Ambushes: Sudden raids in contested zones; PvP flags surge, towns call for defenders. Plane of Fire Opens: Raids begin; economy shifts as reagents and fire-ward potions and augments spike in demand. New Player Town Founded: A guild establishes a new settlement; trade routes and turf wars follow. Bazaar Flash Market: Limited-time auction hosted by the Syndicate; exclusive items and shady bids. Arcanet Field Test: Three max-level Arcanet players show up in Forlorn Forest. No one knows why. Server Holiday Festival: Towns fill with music, minigames, fireworks, and collectible outfits.
