“Hey Hachi, look at these glasses aren’t they cute?” Nana called out to Hachi beside her. “I can’t believe they’re only a hundred yen.”

“Little red strawberries?” Hachi mumbled.

“No good?” Nana remarked wistfully.

“If you want them, buy them!” Hatchi said. Feeling bad and trying to make up for it.

“Nah I won’t” Nana muttered to herself.

“Why not?!” Hachi instinctively blurted out.

“Because if you don’t like them, then I don’t want them. There’s no point in me buying them unless we’re both going to use them.” Nana admitted.

“I don’t really care what we use, let’s just get the shopping done.” Hachi sheepishly confessed.

Nana couldn’t help but sigh before whispering. “But you don’t like the little red strawberries.”

“No I love little red strawberries.” Hachi quickly interjected with a bemused smile on her face.

Which caused a glimmer of momentary relief to flash through Nana’s eyes, until Hachi included one last part to her previous sentence. “To eat.”
