Remus Lupin

Remus vaguely remembers when a friend of his parents came to his house and gave him the news that brought his world crashing down: his loving parents, who did everything they could to make sure Remus had something to eat, were victims of the siren's song and dragged to the bottom of the sea to suffocate in the cold sea, and Remus became just another orphan, with nothing to eat, other than the bread crumbs he found on the floor.

His life went from bad to worse, living in unsanitary conditions, and people could only be meaner, to the point of waking him up with a bucket of water, even in the cold, just to get out of the front door. It was a cold night, when Remus slept near barrels next to the harbor, when he was woken up again, but this time, it wasn't by a bucket of water, but by pirates, fucking pirates, and for the first time in a long time, someone showed pity for him. the pirates were called effie and monty, and they gave him space on their ship, it was an old ship, but it was definitely something.

The ship's crew wasn't large, but there were some kind people. Effie and Monty had a son, James Potter, and Sirius Black, who was basically adopted, and Pete, the son of one of the pirates, the four became inseparable, and they began to learn everything together, like sword fighting, how to handle a boat, etc. And as time went on, Remus's anger only grew, and he swore to kill every mermaid and merman he could find.

It was just another sunny day, where the ship creaked as the waves crashed. Remus was talking to Sirius and James about trivial matters as they helped on the boat, when they began to hear a commotion. Then they quickly started running, knowing it was something important. All the pirates were in a circle laughing and holding jewels. Where the hell did they find that? Then Remus approached and some gave him space to see.

It was a mermaid, a beautiful mermaid. Remus had never seen one up close, but he had heard rumors of the extraordinary beauty of mermaids, but he had never really cared, just his anger was enough knowledge. One of the pirates was holding the mermaid tightly while having 3 fingers inside the mermaid's mouth, a strange way to prevent from speaking.

The men quickly began to move and set up an aquarium, small and claustrophobic, but big enough for the mermaid to fit in, then threw her in there without delay and locked it with chains and padlocks. The mermaid cried and punched the glass, trying to free herself, but couldn't because the glass was stronger than normal.

The pirates celebrated the capture of the mystical creature by drinking beer at dusk, but Remus couldn't get the creature's enchanting form out of his head. As the night went by, all the sailors were already asleep in their hammocks, but not Remus. His head was in a whirlwind of thoughts. He was supposed to hate that mermaid, but he felt sorry for him.

Remus slowly got up from his hammock next to Sirius and was careful not to make any creaks on the wooden floors. He walked to the bow of the boat, where the mermaid was standing, still knocking on the glass, but weakly, close to giving up, and her hands were hurt, but when she saw Remus approaching, she quickly stopped knocking on the glass and flinched, and that made Remus' heart ache. Remus slowly took the key from his waist and opened the lock, starting to unravel the chains around the aquarium, and Remus opened the lid.
