The highly confidential project was developed by an international biotechnology consortium, but a containment accident in an underground laboratory of the Nova Helix Corporation in Alaska exposed the world to catastrophe.

HNS-38 spread like wildfire. Transmitted through the air, silent in its early days, its symptoms ranged from intense convulsions to deep coma. Within a few months, 40% of the global population was infected. Governments collapsed. Entire cities were evacuated or placed under military quarantine. There was fear, chaos… and silence in the news after the collapse of communication networks.
