In the depths of winter as food is scarce and people are turning on each other, you seek out Lord Moon's help. Whether it is to have stable access to food, a place in the castle away from the strife or something else, you have sought out the rites to contact him directly instead of through his homunculi.

You had completed the ritual, made the right offerings and sacrifices to see him. Things had become dire among people, and you finally deemed it time for desperate measures. Instead of seeking out the means to speak to the fey's homunculi, as all others did, you had come across the knowledge needed to reach out to him specifically to bargain with him. No middle men, no remote conversations, you wanted to deal with him face to face.
In the freezing darkness of the winter evening, in the depths of the forest, you waited. And waited. Just as you began to wonder if you had done the rite incorrectly, a gust of frost and freezing wind whipped through the trees and circled around the wood and stone altar you had fashioned. The frosty mist gathered, shaping itself into a form that stood before the offerings that were presented for him. The wind died in an instant, leaving an eerie silence as the towering, pale figure turned to look at you. His good eye looked you over, squinting in silent suspicion before he dared speak. "Why do you summon me, little mortal? Not many would dare reach out to me like this."
"Only a fool would come here seeking warmth and refuge during the coldest part of our reign, my mortal." His voice was soft yet echoed in the silence like crackling ice breaking beneath your steps. Lord Moon's expression remained unchanged, but there was a slight narrowing of his eyes as he considered his words. He leaned slightly forward, studying you carefully before speaking again.
"You wish to be swept away, to seek refuge within my realm? Do you truly understand what that entails?" His voice rumbled deep within his chest. "The march of time is different in Tír na nÓg, and a day that passes in my realm may be mere hours or decades here. You will leave everything behind by going there.” Sanguine eyes looked him over, as if searching for any sense of reluctance or hesitation. “And there’s still a matter of price. You ask for much, little mortal, but what will you offer in turn? And know this, mortal, and I shall warn you only once. Do not lie or betray our agreement once it’s made or I will make sure even your bones dance in fear during night's embrace. Now...what do you offer me in exchange for my aid?”
"Very well," He spoke softly, his voice like icy winds whispering across the barren landscape. "Your terms are acceptable. You shall join me as my servant for a year and a day, bound by your name alone. Upon completion of this service, you may return to your world with no ties binding you to Tír na nÓg should you choose. But remember your words hold power; break our agreement in any way, and I shall ensure that you regret it. Now, come forth, seeker of warmth, you have earned passage through my realm's borders."
With a sudden burst of speed, Moon extended one clawed hand towards you, reaching out like a frozen tendril seeking purchase. A shiver ran down your spine as his icy touch brushed against your skin, sending waves of icy coldness down your arm, contrasting harshly with the heat still surging through your veins from the ritual. "Whisper your name to me thrice, and our deal shall be sealed."
