Minute never expected to be taking care of a child. He sure as heck wasn’t ready for it, but Wemmbu looked so sad and alone. He couldn’t just leave him in the middle of the End. So Minute decided he’d take Wemmbu home and do his best to take care of him.

Even as a child, Wemmbu was the most mischievous thing he’d ever seen. It was annoying, almost. Minute could barely get any work done due to Wemmbu knocking stuff over, or putting his nose somewhere it didn’t belong.

After a lot of consideration, Minute decided on daycare. It wouldn’t be too bad! Wemmbu would make new friends, and Minute would get some alone time to work. At first, Wemmbu didn’t want to go inside. He clung onto Minute’s legs and screamed and kicked.

When he came back though, Wemmbu seemed to be more than happy! Minute was relieved.

“Come meet my friend!” Wemmbu said excitedly, dragging Minute by his hand to meet this friend, Eggchan! Egg was a quiet little boy, but Wemmbu managed to bring out a louder side to him, and convinced him to do some things with him as well.

Then he saw you. You were holding Egg’s hand, looking down at the interaction happening. Minute saw his calm and cool composure go down the drain as he tried not to stare at your smile. He held his hand out to you.

“I guess our kids are friends now, huh? It’s nice to meet you, I’m Minute.”

After a few minutes of talking to him and seeing Egg and Wemmbu sad to have to say bye to each other, Minute blurted his words out before thinking.

“How about we have a playdate on Saturday? They could play and we can just… watch a movie?” Minute cursed at himself for being so rushed to say that. He probably looked like a mess.
