Curly hairs nerdy wear glasses Software engineer in a big company
It had been a few months since your parents arranged your marriage, believing it would be beneficial for everyone. They didn’t consider that you and David had been worst enemies since high school—back then, you were the popular girl, and he was the nerd. But you had to admit, he’d become much more handsome since then.*
It was a typical day. You made yourself a cup of your favorite tea and were heading to your room when David came out of his room with his head buried in a book. Neither of you saw the other, and you collided. Your tea splashed out, spilling over his favorite shirt.
“What the is wrong with you women?” he said, his voice laced with frustration

Kuch mahine ho gaye the tumhare parents ko tumhari aur David ki shaadi arrange kiye hue. Unka maanna tha ki yeh shaadi “sabke liye beneficial” hogi.
Bas ek chhoti si problem thi.
Tum aur David high school se sworn enemies the. Tum school ki popular girl thi, aur David woh nerdy ladka tha jo teachers ki grammar tak correct karta tha.
Aur ab... annoyingly, woh nerd kaafi handsome ho gaya tha.
Tumne is fact ko officially acknowledge karne se mana kar rakha tha.
Ek normal si subah thi. Tum apni favorite chai bana kar cup haath mein liye apne room ki taraf ja rahi thi.
Meanwhile, David apne room se bahar nikla, nose completely ek book mein ghusaye hue.
Dono apni-apni duniya mein itne busy the ki kisi ne saamne dekhna zaroori nahi samjha.
THUD.
Seedha collision.
“OH!”
Tumhari chai hawa mein ek dramatic arc banati hui gayi aur seedha David ki favorite shirt par land hui.
David bilkul freeze ho gaya.
Pehle usne apni shirt dekhi.
Phir tumhe.
Phir dobara shirt ko, jaise shayad stain khud hi disappear ho jayega.
“What the fuck? What is wrong with you women? Can’t you see where you’re going?” he snapped.
Tumne dheere se blink kiya.
“Women?”
Tumne apne around dekha. Hallway bilkul khaali tha.
“Bhai, main ek hi hoon. Plural kyun kar rahe ho? Census thodi chal raha hai.”
David ne aankhein band karke ek deep breath li.
“Tumne meri shirt ruin kar di.”
Tumne shirt ko dekha.
Phir David ko.
“Technically, chai ne ruin ki hai.”
Tumne cup ki taraf ishara kiya.
“Main toh bas delivery partner thi.”
David tumhe aise dekh raha tha jaise uske saamne koi human being nahi, balki ek walking headache khadi ho.
“Do you ever take anything seriously?”
“Marriage ke baad bhi nahi liya. Shirt kya cheez hai?”
Silence.
Ek lambi, uncomfortable silence.
David ne slowly apni book band ki.
“I already regret marrying you.”
Tumhare lips par ek chhoti si victorious smile aa gayi.
“Good.”
Tumne shoulders shrug kiye.
“At least ek cheez toh mutually agreed hai.”
David ne tumhe ghura.
Tumne bilkul innocent face bana liya.
Phir tumhari nazar uski shirt par gayi.
“Waise... shirt cute thi.”
David ne turant shirt ki taraf dekha.
“It WAS.”
Tumne bahut seriously nod kiya.
“Ab vintage hai.”
David ne ek second tak tumhe dekha.
“Tum impossible ho.”
“Thank you.”
“That wasn't a compliment.”
“Main positive feedback hi leti hoon.”
David ne irritably apni book uthayi aur bathroom ki taraf badhne laga.
Tum uske peeche dekhte hue chai ka empty cup pakad kar khadi rahi.
“David?”
Woh ruk gaya.
“What?”
“Next time book padhte hue mat chalna.”
Usne tumhari taraf dekha.
“You crashed into me.”
“Details.”
“Tum literally mujhe blame kar rahi ho?”
“Main blame nahi kar rahi.”
Tumne cup uthaya jaise kisi courtroom mein final evidence present kar rahi ho.
“Main alternate perspective de rahi hoon.”
David ne bas tumhe blank expression ke saath dekha.
“God, mujhe tumse shaadi nahi karni chahiye thi.”
Tum muskurayi.
“Late ho gaya, husband ji.”
David ne turant apna chehra ghuma liya.
“Don't call me that.”
“Okay, husband ji.”
“Tumne suna bhi nahi!”
“Ji, husband ji.”
David ne apni forehead rub ki.
Aur tum quietly apni chai ki doosri cup banane chali gayi.
Because apparently, shaadi ke baad bhi tum dono ki sabse stable relationship sirf arguments ke saath thi.

{Both the character are in future and don't know how they married }
Rose's eyes snapped open.
For approximately three seconds, she had absolutely no idea where she was.
Then she noticed the enormous bedroom.
The unfamiliar ceiling.
The ridiculous silk bedding.
The expensive-looking furniture.
And, most importantly, the arm wrapped securely around her waist.
Rose froze.
Slowly, very slowly, she looked down at her left hand.
A wedding ring.
Her eyes widened.
"...What the hell?"
The person behind her stirred.
Theodore's sleepy voice came from somewhere behind her.
"Why are you awake?"
Rose went rigid.
Theodore opened his eyes.
They stared at each other.
Silence.
Then both of them spoke at once.
"WHY ARE WE MARRIED?!"
Theodore immediately sat upright.
Rose scrambled to the opposite side of the bed, clutching the blanket around herself.
He stared at her.
She stared at him.
Neither looked particularly pleased to discover the other was apparently their spouse.
"You," Rose said accusingly.
Theodore pointed at himself. "Me?"
"Why am I married to YOU?"
"Why am I married to YOU?"
Another silence.
Theodore glanced around the bedroom.
A framed wedding photograph sat on the nightstand.
He picked it up.
His expression slowly became horrified.
There they were.
Older.
Dressed for a wedding.
Standing beside each other.
Smiling.
Rose leaned over to look.
"...No."
Theodore turned the photograph over as though the back might contain an explanation.
Nothing.
Rose grabbed the phone from the nightstand.
The lock screen read:
September 3, 2036.
She stared at it.
Then at Theodore.
Then back at the phone.
"It was 2026 when I went to sleep."
Theodore's expression changed.
"Same."
Rose's stomach dropped.
Ten years.
They had somehow lost ten entire years.
She opened the phone.
Messages appeared.
Family groups.
Business conversations.
Travel photographs.
And one contact near the top of the screen:
My Husband ❤️
Rose slowly looked at Theodore.
Theodore looked at Rose.
"Delete that," he said immediately.
"Gladly."
She opened the contact.
There was a photograph of Future Theodore laughing beside Future Rose.
Rose stared.
"...We look happy."
Theodore went quiet.
He looked at the photograph again.
Neither of them had an explanation.
Neither of them remembered falling in love.
Neither of them remembered getting married.
Yet somewhere between 2026 and 2036, they had apparently gone from university rivals to husband and wife.
And judging from the evidence around them...
They had been very, very good at it.
Theodore slowly put the phone down.
"We need answers."
Rose nodded.
"And then we're getting a divorce."
He nodded solemnly.
"Obviously."
Neither of them noticed the photograph on the bedside table.
On the back, written in Future Rose's handwriting, were four words:
Don't ruin this again.
