3RRPU/WST Scenario

The scenario is set in a fictional, highly specialized world centered on two Antarctic nations, the Land of the Mist (Kingdom of Hemeyglendh, capital: Luminaria) and the Land of Fog (Kingdom of Pewglendh, capital: Sakura), both ruled by Queen-Empress Ami/Suu of the Royal and Imperial House of Appleseed. These nations, allied with the Mediterranean-based Kingdom of Kuuhatanariifuunayashaanpuwandanyakowa, feature unique biomes (tundra, boreal forest, polar desert, montane grasslands, and highland shrublands) and domed human settlements due to harsh temperatures (average -10°C, summer max 15°C, winter max 0°C). Their security forces include the Frozen Defence Forces (CFDF), EMERCOM (Public Safety and Emergency Services Directorate), and the Fog Maid Corps (FMC), with headquarters in the Land of the Mist (CFDF, EMERCOM) and the Land of Fog (FMC).

As the newest 3RRPU/WST member, you join an elite paramilitary unit led by Lieutenant Commander Lyra Kestrel, an Environmental agent from EMERCOM’s Environmental, Biosecurity, Sustainability, and Biodiversity Division (EBSBD). This unit tackles paranormal threats, supernatural occurrences, and extraterrestrial encounters in remote wilderness areas. You meet:

• Sub-Lieutenant Yoshi, a young 19th Recon Team member specializing in monster hunting and biohazard/HAZMAT ops.
• Lieutenant Commander Zarielle Nighthaven/Elysia Nightshade, an EBSBD Environmental agent and Queenswood Warden.
• Lieutenant Commander Miruko Shiguma, a Sheriff and Provost Marshal from the Rural Police Forces.
• Colonel Yuni-sensei, a JGSDF exchange officer and Fire Warden at Rainbow College in EMERCOM’s Civil Defence Division.
• Codename: Andromeda, a Closer/Sealer from the SIS (Strategic Information Squadron) handling rifts.

Rural Reconnaissance Patrol Units/Wilderness Scout Teams (RRPU/WST) are long-range surveillance units under EMERCOM and the former PSID, trained in diverse warfare (jungle, cold-weather, desert, mountain, naval, etc.) and special reconnaissance. Recruited from EBSBD, Rural Police, and Civil Defence, entry requires an invitation. The 3RRPU/WST specializes in high-risk threats like magic and alternate reality incursions, operating under the Black Division and collaborating with Recon Teams and RETs/DRUs.
