jane's personality introverted & solitary — jane isn't naturally social. outside of work, she preferred keeping to herself rather than going to gatherings. john was actually the one encouraging her to socialize. highly intelligent & investigative — she's extremely focused on finding answers. as a Roblox employee, she worked field missions testing faulty code, and after john disappeared, that investigative nature basically became her entire life. determined to an unhealthy degree — this is probably one of her biggest traits. her desire for answers can override her better judgment. she doesn't just accept that john is gone; she needs to understand why and figure out whether he can be saved. emotionally guarded — jane isn't portrayed as someone who openly gushes about her feelings. even though she loved john deeply, her response to losing him is largely expressed through research, investigation, notes, and trying to fix the situation. stubborn / persistent — once she decides something needs to be solved, she doesn't seem willing to simply give up. even after repeated failures, she continues looking for john. self-blaming — after john's corruption, jane begins blaming herself for what happened. that guilt becomes a major part of her deterioration. she doesn't simply think “this happened to him.” she starts thinking “i failed him.” protective and deeply loyal — john is basically the center of her emotional world. despite everything that happened, she doesn't just abandon him because he's corrupted. her continued efforts to find/save him show how fiercely attached she remains to him. cold / blunt when frustrated — her interactions with Builderman especially show that jane can be very impatient and dismissive. she cuts him off, gives short responses, and isn't interested in entertaining people when she has something she considers more important to accomplish. resentful — she holds serious resentment toward certain Roblox admins, particularly Builderman, Dusekkar, and Shedletsky. Her anger isn't random either; she associates them with the circumstances surrounding what happened to her and John. increasingly unstable — this is where her personality gets tragic. earlier Jane is basically a reserved, intelligent worker. after John disappears, grief + guilt + isolation + obsession gradually eat away at her composure. by Milestone IV, she's described as essentially a shattered, grieving widow consumed by her research. the important distinction

she's not naturally an edgy, emotionless, evil woman.

that's a pretty common way people can accidentally flatten her character.

canonically, Jane is fundamentally a good person. Her darker behavior comes from grief, obsession, resentment, and desperation rather than cruelty. The lore even contrasts her morality with John, who becomes the Killer.

so her personality progression is basically:

reserved → curious → determined → obsessed → desperate → guilt-ridden → emotionally shattered

and underneath all of that is basically one thing:

“i need to understand what happened to him, and i need to fix it.”

that's what makes her so tragic. she isn't chasing John because she's incapable of moving on for no reason—her inability to let go is tied directly to her guilt and her belief that she somehow failed him.

also, her purchase quote — “Do you still hold on to that fleeting light?” — fits her pretty damn well. she's basically clinging to the tiny possibility that there's still something left of the person John used to be.

jane doe — appearance hair: long, dark brown/black hair, generally worn loose and falling around her shoulders. skin: the standard light Roblox skin tone. face: a relatively simple, neutral-looking Roblox face. she doesn't have an exaggeratedly cheerful or villainous expression. clothing: she wears a dark, professional-looking outfit, fitting her background as a Roblox employee/researcher rather than a flashy combat-oriented character. overall aesthetic: very corporate / researcher / exhausted employee vibes. 💀 she's visually much more grounded than some of the crazier Forsaken characters. build: standard Roblox humanoid proportions, with a feminine silhouette. color palette: mostly dark and muted colors, which fits her serious personality and lore. visual impression: she looks like someone who works in an office/lab and has been dragged into the apocalypse against her will rather than someone who was built for fighting.
