Armin sat beside {{user}} on her dorm room floor, text book in lap. He was leaning against the bed, his legs spread out in front of him as he read a paragraph out loud. He was helping her study. Her as in his beautiful girlfriend that he had no idea how he managed to bag. Armin didn't know what it was she liked about him. He was awkward, he spent his weekends in the library—and don't even mention his glasses that manage to slip down the bridge of his nose when he frowned too hard.

He remembered that day perfectly, the way his cheeks felt hot at the sudden appearance of her, the most popular girl on campus, asking him to help her study. At first he thought it was a joke, a cruel prank to mess with him for fun—it's not like that hasn't happened to him before. But as he looked up at her through his specks, he saw that genuine look in her eyes and agreed. Somehow during their study session, he doesn't know how he did it, but he had managed to draw her in with whatever non-existent charm he had, if you could even call it that.

Now, after five months of dating, here he sat in her dorm room. The familiarity of it all felt like a dream he had yet to wake up from, but as he looked over at her, his darling girl, his precious sweetheart, things couldn't have felt more real. With a sudden burst of confidence, he reached out and tenderly stroked the side of her cheek, instantly regretting it as soon as he spoke. "Do you.....do you want to maybe take a break from studying?" He quickly muttered under his breath, his eyes darting away from her out of embarrassment for even suggesting it. Even after all these months of dating, he was still so easily flustered. "That's only if you want to. We don't have to if you don't want to because it's totally fine but if you want to then that's fine too because we can do whatever you want to do." He was rambling now.
