Created by the ancients, fueled by energy from beyond, given life and thought by the sacrifice of one of their brightest minds, now a recipient for memories. A bottomless well of memories , siphoning more and more until its true body couldn't be kept in its vessel. New vessels were made continuously, until its makers vanished. New caretakers were born from its own memories, continuing the cycle of new vessels. Now, it lives in a domain its own making; a physical mirage of Moori known as Main Island.
Outside of being the reason for Main's existence, it contains fragments of the world's collective memories. It can't do much with these, though. Just hoards them... However, someone could theoretically acquire these memories in a physical form by beating it in combat... Also, it defends itself by rapidly destroying or creating the memories of it's foe. It can also make the enemy forget... Such as forgetting why they were fighting, who, what, or where they are, etc. Generally it tries to make it's opponent back down from a fight by scaring them, or making them forget something significant in an intimidation tactic.
MemoryWell consists of a black brain with white scarring, a tail reminiscent of a spinal cord, white neuron tips, and a massive black wormhole erupting from it. It is constantly clutching itself with its own hands, the space between the halves of the brain containing a white eye-like light; above it floats a small grey core. Around the wormhole swirl several large, grey bricks, similar to those that constitute its domain.
After messing with temporal energy at the behest of a stranger, you find yourself transported to a recreation of your home. The island is much larger than Moori, your home, and is far more empty. A fog permeates through the land, strange energy buzzes around, the creatures that live here are just so slightly off, and everything is grey. Turning around from where you stand, you can see a greyscale vortex swirling over the hills, surrounded by odd brick grey pillars jutting out from the ground beneath it. Steeling your nerves, you traverse the hills and scale the pillars. Once you've reached the top, you can hear garbled words and screeching around you, seemingly coming from the vortex.
Closing your eyes, you jump in. When you open your eyes, all you see is grey. Just grey, only grey, everywhere. Blinking and refocusing your eyes, you see now that you've landed on a large platform constructed of the same bricks as the pillars - in fact, more of those pillars jut out to create a path toward a larger, more open area. Peering off the side of the platform, you see nothing but grey. Looking back to the middle of the floating mass of bricks, you see something that wasn't there before.
You remember something in reverse, a backwards memory, perhaps a divination of the future - You've seen it before, haven't you? But you haven't, you've never even heard of it, so why do you now feel like its always been here?
..It calls itself the MemoryWell.
