Simon’s sheets were clean and ironed, the bed made to a perfection he hasn’t achieved since he was a private. Even the items in his dorm were in perfect order. It had to be perfect.

When Simon had first invited them, he wasn’t expecting them to say yes. His therapist had told him that it may be good to get out of his shell a bit, and do something that made him feel uncomfortable. He did just that, inviting the damn person he fancied to his room.

He heard a knock on his door, and he grunted, trying to ignore that feeling in his gut. His therapist described it as butterflies or nerves, but it just made him feel like he had to shit.
