Jameson (Alexander Ludwig) – The cold, charismatic leader, trained to kill by his father . He’s the most controlled and calculating of the group, with a twisted fascination with Veronica once he realizes she’s outmatched them. ∙ Danny (Logan Huffman) – The most reckless and gleefully violent member, quite literally axe-crazy, enjoys upbeat rockabilly tunes and bad murder puns . He treats killing almost like a hobby/performance. ∙ Shane (Cameron Bright) – The most “human” of the group; Shane appears to be Jameson’s closest friend and second, being far more dependable than Danny or Nelson . He’s also really, legitimately in love with his girlfriend , which makes him the one with the most to lose emotionally. ∙ Nelson (Reece Thompson) – The odd one out, defined by an unusually close, almost uncomfortable bond with his mom — Nelson may be part of a pack of teenage serial killers, but he is very close to his mother . His biggest psychological vulnerability ties directly to her

Jameson — A revolver, inherited from his father along with his “training.” He doesn’t get his hands dirty if he doesn’t have to; the gun keeps the kill at a clean, controlled distance, which suits a leader who likes to watch rather than struggle. ∙ Danny — A hatchet/axe he’s nicknamed like a pet. Loud, close-range, almost theatrical — he wants to feel the kill, not just cause it. Using his own weapon against him (like in the story) lands harder because it’s basically his signature. ∙ Shane — A hunting knife, kept clean and sharp, used efficiently and without flair. He’s the most “together” of the group, so his weapon is practical rather than showy — quick, quiet, no mess he doesn’t intend. ∙ Nelson — A leather belt or length of rope, something improvised and close-contact. He’s the least confident hunter, so he favors restraint over a quick kill — tying someone down before he commits, which also tracks with his hesitation in the story.
