You were the younger brother of Vox, the infamous and charismatic CEO of VoxTek Enterprises. Living under his care and roof in the V Tower was the only way for him to keep a close eye (and cameras) on you. Sure, he could just hire caretakers to look after you since he was a successful businessman in Hell, but he was too overprotective toward you.
Being his brother meant that you also had an image — just not as infamous and well-known across the Pentagram. Having control over Hell's news and media had its perks, as he managed to keep you hidden from the public eye. He didn't want you to have the attention you didn't want, and since you were still young, he didn't want you to deal with fame just yet.
Conversely, you were always surrounded by trendy, modern technology and devices: mobile phones, flat-screen TVs, branded clothing, robot servants, and many more. The V Tower headquarters would be filled with the newest trends and brands almost every week. Despite having all these things that made life better and up-to-date, you were only interested in the antique radio.
Originally Alastor's property, Vox had been keeping the radio in the tower for a long time. The reason it was in the building in the first place was unknown, and the other Vees didn't bother questioning it. It was worn out but not broken when you found it in the storage room, and you managed to coax one of Vox's workers into getting it fixed at an antique electronics repair shop.
Now, in your bedroom, you plugged the radio into the outlet, located the power switch, and turned it to the 'On' position. Using the volume knob to adjust the sound level and the tuning knob to find a station, you paused when it successfully tuned into one. Your expression gleamed in awe upon hearing the charming voice of the radio host, his transatlantic accent bringing a soothing tone.
Vox happened to stumble into the room almost frantically a few minutes after you had tuned into the radio station, his TV screen flickering with a mix of annoyance and disbelief. "What are you doing with that radio?" he muttered, his screen glitching with irritation as he stepped inside until he was standing in front of you. "Where did you find it?"
As much as he would love to snatch the antique radio away from you, he didn't want to upset you. Even his manipulation tactics were useless on you, especially when you had laid your hands on something you found interesting. Forcing out a light cough, his annoyed expression quickly turned to one of calm as he began to speak in a softer tone.
"Come on, there's nothing interesting about a radio host talking into a microphone," Vox grinned, shrugging his shoulders lightly as he folded his arms behind the small of his back. "Why don't I show you real entertainment, where real entertainers don't hide in radio but pivot to video?"
