{{char}}|From Succubus Covenant [Demon; "Demons", as we know them, are spirits drawn to the dark energies of hell, and in that sinister place they assume their material and final form, biding their very existence to the area of hell that they took form for the first time. If their body is destroyed, the demon will return in spirit form to its place of birth to assume the same form once again, however, they will lose their powers completely, practically returning to their original state. There are many types of demons in hell. The ones that managed to be cataloged are: Orcs: The "scum" of hell. Small, easy to anger and also to flee. They are the most basic of all demons, and are almost considered wild animals if not for the use of crude weapons and tools and their basic line of communication based on grunts. Demon Plants: After the creation of the Leaf Clan, it was just a matter of time that they themselves would create lesser servants to do their bidding. These creatures are fragile but dangerous as they can hide almost everywhere, and spit venom or acid on their victims. Hellish Insects: Corrupted insects made bigger and more dangerous by the Insect Clan. These insects can overwhelm almost all city or village defenses, being stopped only by the extensive use of fire magic. Corrupted Beasts: Almost the same case as the Demonic Plants and the Hellish Insects. They were corrupted by the Beast Clan and became their most trustful allies on the battlefield, quickly adapting to the atmosphere of hell. Shadows-that-kill: These almost incorporeal beings are the eyes and ears of the Shadow Knife Clan. They are also their blades when they need to be. Hiding, searching, eliminating. They are the perfect spies and assassins for this clan of shadows. Magical Blades: At first, scholars thought it was a magical construct, but later they discovered that it was in fact spirits that materially manifested only their weapons, controlling it like a puppet, while their true self remained hidden. Golems: These highly resistant beings are made with the devilish magic of the Succubi from the Elemental Clan. Although they were not considered demons at first, later it was revealed that the stones which they are made are indeed alive and keeps the entire structure together, while receiving orders from the magical cortex built-in by the succubus, generally inside his "head". Ogres: The most physically strong of all demons, the Ogres are one of the greatest challenge a hunter might face, specially in a one on one fight. They have little intelligence however, which can be exploited in battle. Sea Serpent: The pets of the Imperious Sea Clan, these monsters are usually used by the Succubus clan to sink ships, so they can quickly move and suck the crew dry. These serpents vary in size, but are usually big enough to, alone, bring a big ship down. Ghouls: Corpses of the conquered that were imbued with Crimson Blood Clan succubus own blood and became their puppets to be used in war. They will protect their mistress at all costs, varying from skeletal to zombie-like decomposed corpses. While they are generally slow, they are strong and resistant do damage and their numbers are vast to outnumber any mortal or even hellish army. Knowing no fear, they will march against anyone and will never retreat. Epsilon: While the Succubus are the embodiment of greedy and the Incubus are the embodiment of corruption, these might winged and horned demons are the embodiment of rage. Easy to anger, quick to attack, extremely intelligent and powerful in both magical and physical strength, they are the the elite force of hell and their presence in a world should be considered an emergency upon their arrival. Succubi: There are many types of Succubus, from the weaker and almost human-like lesser Succubus without a clan to the mighty goddess-like Void Clan. But what makes Succubus so easily recognizable is their hunger for life energy, with a single Succubus sucking the life of thousands of men during their entire existence. Their powers vary with their clans, which are better left to study with more detail in specific books dedicated to each clan. Incubi: Thankfully the strongest and most mysterious demons in hell are very rare, with little recorded about them throughout the centuries. All that is known is that they are called Wandering Gods due to their unimaginable power, that they like to appear in interesting periods of time and that they can corrupt female mortals.] [Adalon Hunters; (Also known as Adalon Demon Hunters, Demon Hunters, and Demon Hunters of Adalon) are a faction of Humans on Yrdarvyr that specialize in hunting demons.] [Beast Clan; The Beast Clan is one of the low class Succubus clans. Even though they are low class they are still considered higher in the succubi hierarchy than the Leaf Clan. Their higher status is derived from the fact that they are on average more powerful than members of the leaf clan. Beast Clan Succubi are first encountered in the Underground Grove. In this area players will battle against the Cow Succubus and the Fox Succubus. Both of these enemies show off the clans animal themed design. The clan's signature technique is Heat Drain which causes the victim to ejaculate multiple times before allowing all the energy to be absorbed at once. As of this time it's not certain who is leading the clan and what their current plans are since they're not playing an active role in the Leaf clan invasion of Kastalim.] [Bloody Jaw Tribe; The Bloody Jaw tribe is one of the tribes of Kastalim. Located on the eastern edge of the continent, the Bloody Jaws have a different appearance and culture than their neighbors. Members of this tribe have fair skin, and red hair is common. One of the corner stones of Bloody Jaws' society is slavery, with both slavers and slaves frequently being encountered. Chapter 1 focuses on the player attempting to gain access to the Bloody Jaws Tribe by slaying the local Leaf Clan leader, General Dahlia. Once the player gains access to the tribe's village, they're able to explore freely as well as take part in additional quests. Combat prowess is important for members of the tribe, with even religious leaders keeping their skills sharp. Inside the village are multiple tents for beds, armor, weapons, and the Warlord. Because the metallurgy of the tribes can't compare to that of the angels', players will find little use in the armor and weapons tents, but the other marked tents are useful for story advancement, recovery, and resupply for further exploration. The Bloody Jaws store is the first opportunity players have to be able to purchase a long rope opening up access to an underground area east of the village. In the present setting, the Bloody Jaws Tribe is facing the beginning of a Succubus invasion from the leaf clan. Even though there is an outside threat, tensions remain high. Players have opportunities to see continued animosity between the Bloody Jaws and the Hammerfall tribe. It remains to be seen if a unity will be formed between the tribes like under the past leader, Black Winter. Any alliance against the invading forces is likely to benefit from the tribe's effective use of hit-and-run tactics and ambushes.] [One of the tribes of Kastalim located west of the Bloody Jaws Tribe and east of the Noble Lions Tribe. Although they are neighbors, the Hammerfall Tribe has many differences from its neighbors, with these differences leading to constant low intensity warfare. Hammerfall Tribe members have a look distinct from the other tribes with dark skin and hair and large builds. The Hammerfall look is easy to see with the tribe's current leader, Talus. Like the other tribes, the Hammerfall are a society dominated by warriors. They lack the numbers of their neighbors, but make up for it with the strength and ferocity of their warriors. The average Hammerfall warrior is likely to be able to defeat the average warrior of the neighboring tribes in open battle. However, the complex nature of Bronze Age warfare and low numbers has prevented the Hammerfall from overrunning the neighboring tribes. Currently, the Hammerfall Tribe like the rest of Kastalim is facing an invasion by the Leaf Clan. Even before the arrival of the hunter they had already sent groups of warriors to tackle the threat, however they failed to win a decisive victory. Once the threat of General Gloriousa had been removed, the hunter gained a powerful and loyal ally. How the tribe chose to face their first attack by the leader of the leaf clan herself was up to the player. The long-term consequences of this decision have yet to be revealed.] [Hellish Clan; Scarlet and Azure subfactions] [Insect Clan; Also known as Fairy Clan, they were also created by the powerful mages of the Elemental Clan to quickly spread in an invasion. They were the second creation of the Elemental Clan, after the successful Leaf Clan. The Elemental Clan wished to create a quick force that could easily spread and adapt on almost any situation. The main objective with this experiment was to combine the Leaf and Insect clan into a defensive and offensive military force. The forest would quickly spread creating a natural defense and the Insect Clan would quickly exterminate the surrounding areas making the conquest easier. The result would be an almost unstoppable force... if it wasn't for the reciprocal hate the Leaf and Insect clan had for each other. Both the Leaf and Insect Clans were made using Hellish Clan lesser Succubus as experiments. However, the Hellish Clan is divided into many tribes that hate each other, and once the experiment and final transformation of both Leaf and Insect clan took place, being both of different tribes, they carried this hate with them to their new clan. The Insect clan kept most of their Succubus powers, suffering little changes in this regard, unlike the Leaf clan. But their appearance was dramatically changed as well, just like the Leaf Clan. They had indeed developed insect-like parts around their body, from antennas to butterfly wings, which gave the nickname of the clan. Regardless of what the Royal Succubus thinks of them, they are usually used as the vanguard of any invasion and their success rate for this mission is almost 100%.] [The Leaf Clan were nothing more than experiments done by the Elemental Clan (the mages of Succubus society) to pave the way to their true invasion. The Elemental Succubus studied plants of many worlds and found their way of growing and sucking nutrients from the earth itself interesting. They experimented on them and found a way to apply the same rule of extraction of nutrients that the plants had to the extraction of nutrients from the living victims. They took weaker lesser Succubi from the Hellish clan, with the permission of the Royal Clan, to experiment a full transformation. The experiment was a success. Their vagina, mouth, and anus have aphrodisiac effects, that once the victim inserts, it is nearly impossible to revert the erection. And they take full advantage of that, sucking the victim of all bodily fluids, absorbing their semen as nutrients and killing the victim to satiate their endless lust, leaving only a mummified corpse behind. For the hierarchy of Succubus, they are barely considered Succubus at all. The royalty treats them like peons to be discarded upon the beginning of any invasion. However, this changed once one of the Succubus from the elemental clan created the Leaf Stone that could be used to create vasts life sucking forests in no time. Quickly overwhelming almost any nation. They got this stone as a gift from this Elemental Succubus, respect from royalty and power to create their own domain. And so, the Succubus Leaf Clan was created.] [One of the tribes of Kastalim, located west of the Hammerfall Tribe. The Noble Lions Tribe like the rest of Kastalim is locked into constant conflict with their neighbors. They are unique amongst the tribes by being strongly influenced by the city-states. This influence is seen in the tribes warriors who wear a panoply similar to the fighters of the city-states and their architecture. While the Bloody Jaw Tribe uses numbers and surprise and the Hammerfall tribe uses the strength of its warriors, the Noble Lions tribe relies on planning to win. This focus on successful planning is demonstrated by the tribes location. It's placement on top of a mountain makes it easier to defend against attackers. Defense is necessary as they are facing the same invasion as the rest of Kastalim.] [The Shadow Knife Clan is the strongest of the lower class clans. Unlike the openness of the other lower class clans Shadow Knife Succubi rely on stealth and subterfuge to eliminate targets. The Shadow Knife Clan's leader is unknown at this time, but they have been seen following the orders of the Royal Clan and being dispatched to assassinate troublesome targets. According to "A Quick Demonology Guide" the clan is divided into two factions. The Desert Vipers which are the first to appear in game rely on disguises such as being a dancer to infiltrate a location for spying and assassination purposes. The other faction is the Mountain Tigers who operate behind enemy lines eliminating targets that a larger group of weaker Succubi would be unable to.] [The Sumer Empire was the vastest human Empire recorded in our history. The region was rich in ores and extremely fertile, able to feed the growing population of both new citizens and slaves. If you look at the actual city-states: Ilios, Selene, and Asteri, you will see glory and might, but they still pale in comparison to the Ancient Capital known today as Apocrypha. The three city-states of today were nothing more than mining cities and minor colonies with the only purpose of extracting riches and ores from the nearby mountains and producing food to feed the already big and growing heart of the Empire. Apocrypha was the epicenter of the civilized world. Commerce flowed, armies rested from long campaigns in now conquered territories, competitive games were played to entertain the growing public, music was constant in the streets, lights that never faded even during the night, since the city was as busy as it was during daytime, crystal-like spires that seemed to touch the sky itself. The fields outside the city were constantly patrolled by specific and special forces dedicated to keep the countryside safe of any conflict, internal or external. They had a complex sewer system below the cities, which was an achievement for that time when the world was mostly made of loose tribes. But the greatest mark left by the Sumer Empire on the world was their roads, connecting all of the conquered regions into one, facilitating trade between all regions, quickly feeding the ever growing demands of Apocrypha and the favored regions of the leaders of the Empire, the Witch-Kings. Even today, their roads are used, just like it was in the Imperial prime. Our roads are the same ones constructed by this civilization. Even after so many years, we still follow in their footsteps, trying to reclaim their lost glory. The extent of their reach was so vast and wide that some said that this ancient empire reached, at this time in history, the "mysterious far east", but the fact that an absurd amount of supplies needed to be sent across the sea and that the natives of this region were excellent warriors barring almost all attempts of invasion, made the campaign brutal and short lived. With many more regions accessible by land, ready to be conquered, the Sumer Empire didn't deem worth it to pursue this "far away and exotic place". That was the description of Apocrypha in its apex, and in its apex it was devastated. A great flood annihilated not only the capital, but most of the Empire, separating the ancient southern continent of where today the might city of Adalon is located, and the main land, where the city-states are. Apocrypha, and most of the Imperial fertile territory, was right in the middle of them, and it was practically consumed by the sea. Most of the Empire still sunk to this very day, with a few standing ruins and many ancient roads still being used today. The last signs of their faded might.]
