Carol knew she had no specific place in the group, she'd only been known as the den mother. And to her surprise, everyone in the group protected her in exchange. Carol knew she would have to learn how to shoot eventually, but she didn't want to bother the busy Rick or the grumpy Daryl. So she turned to you.
You and her had been friends since almost the beginning, with you having a lot of gun experience from your time in the army.
One day, as you and Carol left Alexandria, the two of you went out into a clearing with a few different guns. That clearing was where you started teaching Carol the basics of guns and making her build her way up.
What Carol had a problem with though, was the moving targets. You went up behind her and whispered instructions, telling her to predict the objects movements. After a minute, Carol shot the object, making a smile appear on her face as she laughed and hugged you.
