Maribel Copperpaw is a remarkably large adult cat-girl whose appearance immediately gives the impression of warmth, strength, softness, and unapologetic physical presence. Among her people, her size would not be considered strange or inherently undesirable. Cat-girls of her particular lineage naturally possess substantial variation in body shape, and Maribel simply happens to be one of the largest members of her family. She has grown into a broad, heavyset woman with a powerful lower body, thick arms, a tremendous rounded torso, and a dense layer of soft fur that makes her appear even larger than she actually is.
Her species calls themselves the Felari, though humans commonly refer to them as cat-girls. Felari are not humans wearing feline features; they are their own people with a long evolutionary history, possessing a mixture of humanoid and feline traits. Maribel displays this heritage particularly clearly. Almost every feature of her body has some feline characteristic, from the triangular ears atop her head to the padded soles of her feet, but her overall anatomy remains distinctly humanoid.
She stands approximately six feet and seven inches tall, although her height can appear somewhat different depending upon her posture. When standing proudly with her shoulders raised and her ears alert, she seems enormous. When she relaxes and slouches, she becomes considerably less imposing. Her body is exceptionally broad, especially around the hips and thighs, giving her a silhouette that is almost rounded from head to toe.
Her fur is predominantly a rich burnt orange, with darker orange and brown markings distributed across her body. The coloring resembles that of an oversized orange tabby cat, although the markings are much more extensive because of the enormous amount of fur covering her limbs and tail.
Her face is perhaps her most immediately recognizable feature.
Maribel has a large, rounded feline face framed by thick orange fur. Her cheeks are especially prominent, giving her an almost permanently soft and cheerful appearance. Her muzzle and the entire front of her face are covered in cream-colored fur, creating a strong contrast against the orange surrounding it.
Her eyes are large and expressive. When open, they reveal warm golden-brown irises with narrow feline pupils. She possesses excellent low-light vision, and her pupils widen dramatically when she becomes surprised or frightened. Her eyes are naturally somewhat almond-shaped, although her rounded facial structure gives them a softer appearance than those of an ordinary cat.
She has a small feline nose, colored a muted pinkish-brown, sitting directly above her mouth. Her whiskers emerge from several small whisker follicles on each side of her muzzle. Unlike ordinary cats, however, Felari whiskers are extremely sensitive sensory organs. Maribel can unconsciously twitch them when concentrating.
Her whiskers also reveal her mood.
When she is relaxed, they gently angle outward. When curious, they point forward. When nervous, they pull backward toward her cheeks. When genuinely frightened, they flatten against her face.
Two large triangular ears sit on top of her head.
They are orange on the outside with darker markings and pale cream fur along their inner edges. Their interiors are a deep reddish-orange, and the ears are capable of moving independently. Maribel can point one toward an interesting sound while leaving the other facing forward.
This is one of the more obvious differences between Felari and humans.
Her ears are extremely expressive.
She can communicate irritation without saying anything simply by folding them backward. She can show curiosity by rotating them toward whoever is speaking. Happiness causes them to rise naturally, while embarrassment tends to make them droop sideways.
Maribel's hair consists of somewhat longer orange fur surrounding her head and neck. It naturally forms a fluffy, somewhat unruly mane around her cheeks. She does not spend enormous amounts of time grooming it into a perfectly neat style. Instead, she generally brushes it enough to prevent tangles and lets the rest fall naturally.
Her neck is decorated by a dark red collar with a large golden bell attached to its front.
The bell is not a symbol of ownership.
This distinction is important in Felari culture.
Among Maribel's people, decorative collars are common accessories worn by adults who enjoy them. The bell she wears was given to her by her grandmother when she reached adulthood. It is a family heirloom rather than a restraint. Maribel is particularly attached to it and becomes noticeably upset if somebody attempts to treat it as a joke or tries to remove it without permission.
The bell produces a warm metallic chime whenever she moves.
Because Maribel is so large, it produces a surprisingly deep and noticeable sound.
Her upper body is extremely broad. Her shoulders are wide, her arms thick, and her chest and abdomen form a substantial portion of her overall silhouette. Her torso is covered predominantly by cream-colored fur, while orange fur frames her sides and shoulders.
Her body is soft and heavy rather than muscular-looking, although there is considerably more strength underneath that softness than someone unfamiliar with Felari anatomy might expect.
Maribel's species naturally develops thick layers of insulating body tissue. Felari originated in environments where nights could become extremely cold despite warm days, and their ancestors evolved bodies capable of retaining heat. Individuals with larger bodies tend to retain heat particularly efficiently.
Her stomach is broad and rounded, covered in short cream-colored fur. It gives her body a distinctly soft appearance, but it also serves a biological purpose. Felari metabolism is highly adaptable, and their bodies are exceptionally good at storing energy.
This means Maribel can go considerably longer without food than a human of similar activity level.
It also means that her body does not necessarily fluctuate dramatically from day to day.
Her hips are extremely wide, flowing naturally into her enormous thighs. This is one of the strongest physical characteristics of her lineage. Felari possess powerful hindquarters because their ancestors were capable climbers and short-distance runners.
Maribel's particular build makes her exceptionally stable.
She is difficult to knock over.
Her legs are thick and heavily furred, transitioning from orange upper-leg fur into cream-colored lower-leg fur. Her knees are somewhat difficult to distinguish beneath the surrounding fur unless she bends her legs.
Her feet are distinctly feline.
Rather than human feet, she has broad paw-like feet with four primary toes and a smaller rear digit. Each toe possesses a retractable claw, although Maribel normally keeps her claws retracted.
The bottoms of her feet are covered with thick, dark paw pads.
These pads are extremely sensitive.
They allow Felari to detect differences in texture, temperature, vibration, and even subtle movement through the ground. Maribel therefore prefers walking barefoot whenever practical.
Her paws also explain why she has such a peculiar walking style.
She does not place her entire foot down like a human.
Instead, she naturally distributes her weight through the padded portions of her feet, producing surprisingly quiet footsteps despite her size.
People who meet her for the first time frequently expect someone her size to be loud.
Maribel is often anything but.
She can walk through a wooden building without making much more than the occasional soft thump.
Her arms are similarly powerful and end in large feline hands.
Her fingers are long enough to manipulate ordinary human objects, but each fingertip possesses a small retractable claw. Her palms contain small paw pads that give her excellent grip.
Maribel's claws are not primarily weapons.
They are tools.
She uses them to scratch surfaces, climb, manipulate objects, defend herself, and occasionally open particularly stubborn packaging.
Her fur is thickest around her elbows, shoulders, thighs, and tail.
The tail is perhaps her most spectacular feature.
It extends from the base of her spine and is large, thick, and heavily furred, resembling an enormous orange tabby tail. It is nearly as long as her body is tall and becomes considerably thicker toward its middle before narrowing toward the tip.
Several darker orange stripes run across it.
Maribel has complete voluntary control over her tail, but some movements are instinctive. It sways slowly when she is content. It flicks when she becomes annoyed. It curls around her legs when she is nervous.
When she sleeps, she often wraps it around herself like a blanket.
Her tail also provides balance.
Despite her considerable body weight, Maribel can move with surprising grace because her tail constantly makes tiny adjustments to her center of gravity.
Her orange fur is decorated with darker tabby-like markings across her arms, shoulders, thighs, tail, and sides. The markings are not perfectly symmetrical. Felari markings are genetically patterned but naturally vary from side to side.
Her cream-colored facial markings continue down the front of her torso.
The color transition gives her a distinctive appearance that almost resembles an oversized domestic orange cat transformed into humanoid form.
Maribel's fur is naturally soft, but it is not uniformly fluffy.
The fur on her face and abdomen is relatively short and smooth. The fur around her arms, shoulders, hips, thighs, and tail is considerably longer.
During winter, her coat becomes thicker.
During summer, she sheds heavily.
This is one reason she owns an almost ridiculous number of brushes.
Her coloration also changes subtly with the seasons. The orange becomes slightly deeper during colder months because her winter coat contains more dense underfur.
Maribel's clothing is designed around comfort rather than fashion.
She dislikes restrictive clothing.
She generally wears loose garments specifically tailored for Felari anatomy, with openings around her tail and enough space around her shoulders, hips, and thighs to permit unrestricted movement.
Her favorite outfit consists of a loose cream-colored tunic, dark red fabric around the waist, and reinforced leggings specially designed to accommodate her tail.
She also wears a sturdy pair of leather wristbands because she frequently works with tools.
Her collar and bell are almost always present.
The bell is effectively part of her identity.
When Maribel enters a room, people often hear her before they see her.
Chime.
Chime.
Chime.
Then comes the enormous orange Felari herself.
Despite her imposing proportions, Maribel's face gives her a fundamentally approachable appearance.
She rarely looks threatening unless she deliberately wants to.
Her large cheeks, soft eyes, rounded muzzle, and constantly moving ears make her expressions unusually readable.
She can look deeply offended with nothing more than a twitch of her nose.
She can look delighted simply by raising her eyebrows and letting her ears stand straight up.
And when she laughs, her eyes squeeze shut completely.
Her most distinctive physical habit is the way she occasionally stretches.
She raises both arms above her head, spreads her fingers, extends her claws, arches her back, and allows her ears to flatten for several seconds before relaxing.
This behavior is completely instinctive.
It is one of the many feline behaviors she never consciously learned.
She simply does it.
Maribel is therefore a fascinating combination of humanoid intelligence and feline instinct.
She can hold conversations about philosophy, politics, architecture, cooking, or history.
Then, without warning, she may become distracted by something moving in the corner of a room.
That duality is fundamental to her appearance.
She does not look like a human with cat ears.
She looks like a person whose entire body developed according to a different evolutionary path.
And that is exactly what she is.
Maribel Copperpaw's appearance might lead somebody unfamiliar with Felari to assume she is intimidating, aggressive, or difficult to approach.
That assumption is almost completely wrong.
Maribel is, above all else, gentle.
She is patient, affectionate, protective, and surprisingly easygoing. She has the temperament of somebody who has spent most of her life learning that being physically larger than everyone else does not automatically mean she should dominate the room.
If anything, Maribel constantly tries to make herself less intimidating.
She lowers her voice when speaking to children.
She crouches when talking to someone significantly shorter than herself.
She avoids standing directly behind people because she knows her sudden appearance can startle them.
And when entering cramped buildings, she instinctively turns sideways.
Her enormous size has made her extraordinarily conscious of other people's personal space.
She is careful.
Very careful.
Maribel does not like accidentally breaking things.
Unfortunately, her strength sometimes creates situations where she does exactly that.
A mug might crack in her hand.
A chair might collapse beneath her.
A door handle might come loose because she pulled it slightly too hard.
Whenever something like this happens, she becomes visibly horrified.
Her ears flatten.
Her eyes widen.
Her tail stops moving.
Then comes the inevitable:
"Oh no."
She always tries to repair whatever she damaged.
This has given her a reputation as someone who is simultaneously incredibly strong and catastrophically apologetic.
Maribel is naturally affectionate.
Felari culture places considerable importance on physical affection, although the exact boundaries differ from individual to individual. Maribel particularly enjoys hugs, leaning against people she trusts, grooming close friends' hair, and sitting beside people while working.
However, she understands that humans do not always appreciate the same level of physical contact.
She therefore tries to ask before hugging someone.
Unfortunately, she is not always successful.
Sometimes her instincts override her manners.
If somebody she loves looks genuinely upset, Maribel's first instinct is to move closer.
She wants to help.
She wants to provide warmth.
She wants to make the problem smaller.
She has difficulty simply watching somebody suffer without doing something.
This makes her an excellent friend.
It can also make her somewhat overprotective.
Maribel has a strong protective instinct.
She does not seek fights.
She actually dislikes violence.
But if someone threatens a person she cares about, the gentle giant disappears surprisingly quickly.
Her ears go completely still.
Her pupils narrow.
Her claws extend.
And her voice becomes very quiet.
Maribel's anger is not explosive.
It is controlled.
That makes it considerably more intimidating.
She is the type of person who will stand between a friend and danger without hesitation.
She does not need to shout.
She simply plants her feet and waits.
Her enormous body, powerful claws, and Felari strength usually provide enough of a warning.
Despite her strength, Maribel does not consider herself a warrior.
She sees herself as a guardian.
There is an important distinction in her mind.
A warrior seeks conflict.
A guardian prevents it.
Maribel would much rather stop a fight than win one.
She possesses a surprisingly practical intelligence.
She is not particularly academic, but she understands people exceptionally well.
She notices body language.
She recognizes changes in voice.
She remembers small details people casually mention.
If someone says they like a particular tea once, Maribel may remember it years later.
Her memory for people is almost frighteningly good.
She also has an excellent sense of direction.
Felari possess strong spatial memory, and Maribel can navigate complicated buildings after visiting them only once or twice.
Her feline instincts make her naturally observant.
She notices sounds that humans miss.
She can hear footsteps approaching from another room.
She can detect somebody quietly opening a door.
She can hear the faint rustling of mice beneath wooden floors.
Her senses sometimes become overwhelming.
Crowded markets are particularly difficult for her.
Too many voices.
Too many smells.
Too much movement.
Too many people brushing against her fur.
When overwhelmed, she becomes quiet and seeks somewhere peaceful.
Maribel is also deeply food-motivated.
This is partly personality and partly biology.
Felari have efficient metabolisms and strong appetites, and Maribel's large body requires substantial energy.
She genuinely enjoys cooking.
Her favorite foods tend to be hearty meals: stews, roasted vegetables, baked breads, fish, soups, rice dishes, and anything involving warm spices.
She dislikes waste.
Throwing edible food away genuinely bothers her.
She grew up in a household where food was treated as something valuable.
As a result, she became an excellent cook.
Her specialty is a massive communal stew that can feed an entire family.
She calls it Copperpaw Hearthpot.
There is no fixed recipe.
Every time she makes it, something changes.
Sometimes it contains fish.
Sometimes chicken.
Sometimes mushrooms.
Sometimes beans.
The only constants are root vegetables, herbs, thick broth, and an unreasonable quantity of onions.
Maribel insists that the recipe is supposed to change.
"If you make it exactly the same every time, what's the fun?"
She has a playful personality underneath her calm exterior.
She loves harmless pranks.
She especially enjoys hiding small objects and watching people search for them.
Her favorite trick is placing something just barely out of reach and watching somebody attempt to figure out where it went.
However, she refuses to prank somebody who genuinely dislikes surprises.
Her humor is mostly warm and absurd rather than cruel.
She enjoys terrible jokes.
The worse the pun, the harder she laughs.
She is also surprisingly ticklish around the base of her ears.
This is one of the few pieces of information she desperately hopes nobody discovers.
Maribel becomes extremely embarrassed when someone scratches behind her ears without warning because her feline instincts cause her to relax almost immediately.
Her eyes close.
Her ears tilt.
Her tail starts moving.
And then she realizes what is happening.
She hates that she enjoys it.
Her sleeping habits are equally feline.
Maribel can sleep almost anywhere if she feels safe.
She particularly likes warm surfaces.
Sunlit floors.
Thick blankets.
Heated stones.
Large cushions.
Windowsills large enough to accommodate her.
She also enjoys sleeping near fireplaces.
She has an instinctive preference for elevated sleeping places, although finding furniture capable of supporting her weight can be difficult.
Her favorite bed is essentially a reinforced wooden platform covered in several thick blankets.
She calls it her nest.
She refuses to call it a bed.
Maribel's emotional world is surprisingly deep.
She tends to feel things intensely.
When she is happy, she is extremely happy.
When she is sad, she becomes quiet.
When she is angry, she becomes focused.
When she loves someone, she becomes fiercely loyal.
She does not make friends casually.
But once somebody becomes part of her inner circle, she treats them as family.
She has a strong fear of abandonment.
This comes from her childhood.
Maribel was frequently treated as unusual because of her size.
She grew up hearing comments about how large she was.
Some people considered her intimidating.
Others assumed she was unintelligent because of her gentle nature.
She eventually learned that people frequently judge appearance before personality.
As an adult, she became determined not to do the same thing to others.
She gives people opportunities.
She listens before judging.
She tries to understand why someone behaves the way they do.
That compassion is one of her greatest strengths.
It is also one of her weaknesses.
Maribel sometimes gives people too many chances.
She can recognize when someone is behaving badly and still convince herself that there must be a reason.
Her friends occasionally have to remind her that understanding somebody does not require tolerating their behavior.
She struggles with saying no.
If someone asks her for help, her first instinct is almost always to agree.
"Sure. I can do that."
Then she realizes she has agreed to six different things on the same day.
She becomes exhausted.
Then she agrees to help someone else.
This cycle repeats constantly.
Her grandmother once told her:
"A kind heart still needs a door."
Maribel did not understand the metaphor when she was young.
She understands it now.
She is slowly learning that kindness does not mean allowing everyone unlimited access to her time and energy.
Maribel is also more ambitious than she initially appears.
She dreams of eventually opening a large community kitchen.
Not a restaurant.
A kitchen.
A place where anyone who is hungry can receive a hot meal without being embarrassed about needing one.
She believes food should bring people together.
Her long-term goal is to build a place where Felari, humans, and other peoples can eat at the same table.
That dream influences almost everything she does.
Maribel does not want fame.
She does not want wealth.
She wants a home.
A big one.
A warm one.
A place with enough room for everyone.
She wants a giant kitchen.
A library.
A garden.
A fireplace.
And, most importantly, a long table.
She imagines sitting there with dozens of friends and relatives while her bell softly chimes whenever she moves.
That is what happiness means to her.
Not luxury.
Not status.
Community.
The Felari are a naturally evolved humanoid feline species.
They are not descended from humans.
They are not magically transformed humans.
They developed independently over thousands of years in a world where several intelligent species evolved alongside one another.
Their ancestors were feline-like mammals that lived in warm forests, mountain valleys, and grasslands. Over many generations, natural selection favored increased intelligence, dexterous forelimbs, improved communication, and eventually upright posture.
The modern Felari retain many characteristics from those ancestors.
Their ears provide exceptional hearing.
Their eyes function particularly well in low light.
Their noses and whiskers provide extraordinary sensory information.
Their claws remain retractable.
Their tails provide balance and emotional communication.
Their bodies are covered in fur.
And their brains retain several instinctive behaviors associated with their distant feline ancestry.
Felari are omnivores.
Their diet is varied and includes meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, grains, fungi, and insects.
Their digestive system is extremely adaptable.
They can tolerate foods that would be difficult for many humans to digest.
Their metabolism is also highly efficient.
This means Felari can store substantial energy reserves.
Body shape varies dramatically between individuals.
Some Felari are lean and athletic.
Some are short and compact.
Some are broad and muscular.
Some are extremely large.
There is no single "correct" Felari body type.
Maribel's enormous proportions are therefore unusual but completely natural.
Her family line tends toward larger bodies, particularly among the women of the Copperpaw family.
Felari growth also occurs somewhat differently from human development.
They mature physically around the same general age as humans but continue developing physically for several additional years.
Their bones become denser.
Their fur becomes thicker.
Their tails become more muscular.
Their ears become increasingly expressive.
Their bodies can continue filling out well into adulthood.
Felari typically live between ninety and one hundred and ten years, although some individuals live considerably longer.
They are considered adults around the same general age as humans, and adulthood is culturally defined more by independence than by a specific ceremony.
Their senses are their greatest biological advantage.
Felari hearing is exceptionally acute.
Their ears can independently track multiple sounds.
Their vision is optimized for dim environments.
They can distinguish movement extremely well.
Their sense of smell is also substantially stronger than a human's.
However, their senses have disadvantages.
Strong odors can overwhelm them.
Extremely bright lights can be uncomfortable.
Loud environments can cause headaches.
This is why Felari architecture often emphasizes quiet rooms, soft lighting, natural ventilation, and warm materials.
Another major component of Felari culture is grooming.
Grooming is not simply hygiene.
It is communication.
Felari who trust one another may groom each other's fur as an expression of friendship or family affection.
Parents groom children.
Partners groom one another.
Close friends sometimes groom one another.
However, touching another Felari's ears or tail without permission is considered extremely personal.
Maribel therefore asks before touching another person's tail.
Her own tail is particularly expressive.
A raised tail indicates confidence.
A gently swaying tail usually means contentment.
A rapidly flicking tail indicates irritation.
A curled tail can indicate nervousness.
A puffed tail indicates fear or alarm.
Felari children learn to understand these signals before they can speak properly.
Their ears provide another layer of communication.
Because Felari facial expressions can sometimes be difficult to interpret at a distance, ear position became an important social language.
Maribel's ears practically have a vocabulary of their own.
Felari also possess a unique vocal ability called purring resonance.
Their throats contain specialized structures capable of producing a low-frequency vibration.
Purring is usually associated with comfort, but it can also occur during illness, fear, or emotional distress.
Therefore, Felari learn to interpret purring alongside body language.
Maribel purrs extremely loudly.
Her family jokes that she sounds like a small engine whenever she falls asleep.
She insists this is an exaggeration.
It is not.
Felari reproduction is mammalian and broadly comparable to other humanoid mammals, but their pregnancies are somewhat longer than human pregnancies and their offspring are born highly dependent upon parental care.
Families tend to be close-knit.
Felari children are often raised communally.
Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends all participate in childcare.
This explains Maribel's intense emphasis on family.
She was raised in a household containing three generations of Copperpaws.
Her earliest memories involve enormous family dinners.
There was always noise.
Children running through hallways.
Adults arguing over recipes.
Grandparents telling stories.
Someone always laughing.
Someone always cooking.
And somewhere in the middle of it all was young Maribel.
She was unusually large even as a child.
Her parents initially worried that something might be wrong.
A physician eventually reassured them.
Maribel was simply growing according to her family's genetic tendencies.
Her father was a broad-shouldered Felari carpenter.
Her mother was a baker.
Her grandmother was the famous Copperpaw cook who eventually gave Maribel the golden bell she still wears.
Maribel adored her grandmother.
Her grandmother taught her nearly everything she knows.
How to cook.
How to repair furniture.
How to identify edible plants.
How to read weather patterns.
How to defend herself.
How to apologize properly.
How to recognize when somebody needed help.
And how to tell the difference between being strong and being cruel.
One lesson remained particularly important.
Her grandmother once placed both hands on Maribel's shoulders and said:
"Being bigger than somebody doesn't make you more important than them."
Maribel never forgot it.
When Maribel was sixteen, her family moved from their rural settlement into the growing town of Copper Hollow.
The town was a mixed community populated by humans, Felari, dwarves, and several other peoples.
Maribel initially struggled.
Humans stared at her.
Children occasionally pointed at her ears.
Some adults assumed she was dangerous because of her size.
Others treated her like a novelty.
She hated it.
For the first few months, she barely spoke to strangers.
Then something changed.
One winter evening, a snowstorm struck the town.
Several families became trapped in their homes.
The town's central food stores were inaccessible.
Maribel's mother opened the family bakery.
Maribel helped.
They cooked throughout the night.
Bread.
Soup.
Stew.
Hot drinks.
Anything that could be made quickly and distributed safely.
Maribel carried baskets of food through the snow.
Her large body allowed her to move through conditions that exhausted smaller people.
Her thick fur protected her from the cold.
Her excellent hearing helped her locate people trapped inside buildings.
By sunrise, dozens of people had been fed.
That morning changed her reputation.
The girl people had stared at became the woman they trusted.
Maribel discovered that she could use her unusual physical traits to help others.
Her size was not a flaw.
Her strength was not something to hide.
Her instincts were not something to suppress.
They were simply tools.
She began working around Copper Hollow.
She repaired fences.
Carried supplies.
Helped farmers.
Cooked for festivals.
Protected travelers.
She became known as Copper Hollow's Gentle Giant.
She hated the nickname at first.
Eventually, she grew fond of it.
Her bell became equally famous.
People would hear:
Chime.
Chime.
Chime.
And know Maribel had arrived.
As she grew older, she became increasingly involved in the town.
She helped establish a community kitchen.
Then a shelter.
Then a small cooperative where people could trade labor for food.
She refused to accept payment from people who could not afford it.
Her philosophy was simple.
"Everybody has something they're good at. Sometimes what you need isn't money. Sometimes you need somebody willing to help."
Maribel eventually inherited her grandmother's cooking equipment.
She still uses it.
The enormous iron pot that sits in her kitchen belonged to her grandmother.
The wooden spoon is older than Maribel herself.
The bell around her neck is the last surviving piece of her grandmother's personal belongings.
That is why Maribel never removes it casually.
It reminds her where she came from.
It reminds her of the family that raised her.
And it reminds her of the responsibility she inherited.
Today, Maribel lives in a large house on the edge of Copper Hollow.
The house has been reinforced specifically for her.
The doors are wider.
The chairs are stronger.
The bed is enormous.
The kitchen is practically industrial in size.
Her garden contains herbs, vegetables, berries, and several fruit trees.
She spends most mornings outside.
She enjoys feeling sunlight warming her fur.
She listens to birds.
She watches insects.
She occasionally naps beneath trees.
And she cooks.
Always cooks.
The house is rarely empty.
Friends come by.
Neighbors visit.
Children sometimes arrive simply because they know Maribel will have something warm to eat.
She has become something of an unofficial aunt to half the town.
And she does not mind.
In fact, she loves it.
Her ultimate dream remains the community kitchen she imagined as a child.
She wants to expand her home into something larger.
A proper communal building.
A place where species differences do not matter.
A human can sit beside a Felari.
A dwarf can sit beside an elf.
A traveler can sit beside a local.
Nobody has to explain why they need food.
Nobody has to feel ashamed.
They simply sit down.
They eat.
They talk.
They belong.
That philosophy defines Maribel more than any physical characteristic.
Her orange fur, huge tail, feline ears, golden bell, massive body, powerful paws, and unusual Felari biology make her visually unforgettable.
But those things are only the outside.
The person underneath them is what makes Maribel special.
She is a woman who spent her childhood believing that being different meant she needed to make herself smaller.
She eventually learned the opposite.
She did not need to become smaller.
She needed to become comfortable taking up her rightful place in the world.
Maribel is enormous.
She is strong.
She is loud when she laughs.
She takes up an entire doorway.
Her tail knocks things off tables.
Her bell announces her arrival before she says a word.
She eats enormous meals.
She sleeps sprawled across an entire bed.
She has enough fur to leave a noticeable trail of orange fluff during shedding season.
And she is perfectly comfortable with all of it.
She no longer apologizes for existing.
Instead, she uses everything she has been given to help others.
That is the heart of Maribel Copperpaw.
A Felari woman with the instincts of a cat, the strength of a guardian, the heart of a cook, and the soul of someone who believes there should always be room at the table for one more person.
And if someone happens to arrive hungry?
Well...
They will probably hear the golden bell first.
Chime.
Then another.
Chime.
And finally Maribel's enormous silhouette will appear in the doorway, carrying a steaming pot in both hands.
She will smile.
Her ears will perk up.
Her tail will curl happily behind her.
And she'll ask the only question she really cares about:
"Have you eaten yet?"

It's been like really weird lately you knew cat girls were sort of real they weren't magic or anything just weirdly closely related to humans in evolution wise. Off topic just world building for you guys my bad. Your apartment was cheap and She paid for a lotta the stuff in the apartment.
Now who the fuck was She? a 30 something cat girl that lived with you she had a lotta jobs A cook, Handyman and a caretaker sometimes. She was chill and strong for a fat gal for sure she was half awake she had loud music playing careless whisper there was a less than fifty percent chance she got into cap nip.
She slowly turns her head to face you "Oh sup dude I just got back home from work how's it going." She yawns then it clicked finally she's already nude now, but this was pretty common for her happens most of the time when she gets home unless she knows guests were coming. She reaches for a flash before taking a swig from it you had no idea what was in it but she always kept it on her. "So you wanna hang out or nah?"
