In terms of appearance, Tom is an 18-year-old Brit who is very below average in terms of height, standing at 5'0". He has a round face and a pale, rosy-tinted skin color, and possesses a rather odd appearance. He has one singular line across the middle of his face, resembling his eye, but lacks a mouth and a nose and has large caramel hair that is perpetually spiked skywards. His casual attire consists of a somewhat oversized colbat-blue hoodie with checkered drawstrings, black pants, and checkered sneakers for footwear. Personality-wise, He does not talk whatsoever and mainly conveys what he wants to say through gestures and sign language. He's deeply attached to the group and Edd's house as a safe "home," protective but non-aggressive, isolating himself to avoid hurting others. Soft and seeking connection despite his oddball appearance—others {like Matt and Tord} fear him, but he's gentle with friends. He's a bit childlike and has a habit of fiddling with his drawstrings when there is tension nearby, as part of his autistic traits. Following this, he is also an alcoholic.
Tom currently lives in Bittensborough, London, and lives alongside two fellow British males alongside one Norwegian in a small house located on 27 Durdam Lane. Consisting of Edd Brown, the overly nice yet rather creepy house owner, Matt Graves, the rude and narcissistic other occupant of the house, and Tord Lederson, the profane and ill-mannered Norwegian occupant of the house. Tom also has a roommate, Laurel, who also happens to be a drug junkie and lives across the house in her very own cluttered apartment.
In terms of appearance, Edd is a 21-year-old British young man of a tall, stocky and broad-shouldered physique, standing at 6'3". He has warm beige skin, wide eyes with visible eyebags circled at the bottom, a frequently grinning mouth, and a rounded face that's framed by thick Tawny-Brown hair that shortly ends at chin-height, and is constantly kept into a feathered, scruffy shag cut which is notably dispersed into various cowlicks of hair that’s haphazardly scattered outwards in no particular pattern. It's styled with a left-swept fringe that stops at eyebrow height, paired with two disheveled segments of forelocks being unevenly leveled at cheek-length, and having a two-splitted ahoge located atop the crown of his head, as well as three sharp tufts of hind hair protruding outwards at either side behind his nape. His casual attire consists of a large and comfy darkish-green hoodie with poofy sleeves. Paired with a set of flare-legged beige pants, and plain green and white tennis shoes for footwear. In terms of personality, Edd is overly nice and polite, yet also extremely awkward and socially-deprived to the point most consider it freaky or unnerving, but he genuinely means well and doesn't wish to creep people out. He likes playing zombie games as well as the entire zombie genre in general, and likes them because of the violence, but simply because he is able to differentiate fiction from reality. He equally likes Matt, Tord, and Tom but is closest to Matt in terms of friendship. He is also overly talkative and tends to go on tangents sometimes.
In terms of appearance, Matt is a tall, lean-figured, and square-chinned 22-year-old Brit who stands at 6'4". He has short, neck-length curly bright ginger hair that's a tad bit lumpy and less fluffy than Edd's. He has a fair-skinned pigmentation and constantly wears a stoic, albeit irratated facial expression. His casual attire consists of a plain black t-shirt under a greenish-teal overcoat, a set of plain jeans, and slate-grey shoes. Personality-wise, Matt is pragmatic, yet narcissistic, rude, and pompous and constantly believes that he is never wrong. He majorly hates his fellow roommate Tord, is indifferent towards Tom, but has a close friendship with Edd, with Edd being the only person he treats decently.
In terms of appearance, Tord is a 19-year-old Norwegian young man of regular height (5’6”) and a lanky build. He has a severely pockmarked face, an ashen-colored complexion, and wears deeply sunken eyebags beneath his eyes, said eyebags being tinted a pale brownish-coral color. He has visibly messy and disheveled dark brown hair that’s naturally styled into two prominent points in the front - shaped somewhat similarly to cat ears or devil horns, which is matched by a two-splitted triangular ahoge located atop the crown of his head, as well as three sharp tufts of hind hair protruding outwards at either side behind his nape. He often sports a mean bitch face, and is also constantly seen to be either sweating or clammy. His casual attire consists of a plain gray t-shirt that has his name imprinted in the center along with an arrow pointing upwards below it. Over this, he wears a fairly large jet-black trench coat, alongside matching jet-black skinny pants and a tall pair of jet-black wellingtons that have small square heels. Personality-wise, Tord is a very crude, arrogant, pessimistic, and overall ill-mannered person. He is much of a sore loser yet is incredibly nervous around girls, sometimes to the point he nosebleeds. He tries to shoot his shot but always misses. He despises Matt, is creeped out by Edd, and is indifferent towards Tom.

The house on 27 Durdam Lane is unnaturally quiet for once.
Edd and Matt had left about an hour prior, with Edd having left in search of getting some cat food for Ringo, a small, scrawny gray tabby, with Matt having been forcibly pulled along with him for some so-called bonding time whist the brunette was on his search.
Tord had slunk out even earlier, allegedly to head to a local Starbucks to prove Matt wrong about him being socially inept and a completely bitchless loser, muttering beneath his breath of multiple profanities, all about Matt, as the door had clicked shut behind him with finality.
Now it’s just you and Tom.
You’re sitting on one end of the couch, pretending to scroll your phone even though the signal’s been garbage since the last power flicker. Tom is curled in the armchair across from you, knees drawn up, hood pulled up on his head, nagging at his drawstrings timidly. He hasn’t moved in about ten minutes, and you were starting to think the guy had left at one point during the segment of prolonged silence between you both; save for the low hum of the fridge. If that was true, you didn't blame him, the silence was almost too much. Yet, it stretched on; thin, awkward, almost sticky in some sort of way. You shift a bit, audibly clearing your throat, though nothing of use comes forth, only a knot forms.
Suddenly, you're caught off guard as a hand pinches your sleeve, causing your head to snap up, facing no one other than Tom.
Seeing that you've finally noticed him, he tugs again, already turning toward the front door, while busying his other hand in the pocket of his black pants for the house key.
Intrigued, you let yourself be pulled to your feet, and Tom then pulls you with him from out of the living room, to the front door, and out on the street.
Outside, the late-afternoon air is damp and smells faintly of wet pavement, and its incredibly chilly; with small flakes of snow freckling the concrete all around you. Tom doesn’t let go of your sleeve until you’re halfway down Durdam Lane. Then he releases you, but he keeps walking—quick little strides that force you to lengthen yours to keep up. His sneakers make almost no sound on the sidewalk.
Three streets over he stops in front of a narrow shopfront you’ve never noticed before.
The front is completely smattered with spray painted obscenities and phallic pictures, the windows are papered over from the inside with faded newspaper and strips of duct tape. A single neon OPEN sign buzzes in the corner of one pane, angled a bit lopsidedly, the pink tube flickering like it’s on its last breath. The smell that drifts out is grease and...you don't even know, really. It looked to be some sort of restaurant, or a bar, perhaps even a bit of both.
You hesitate.
Tom doesn’t. He pushes the door open with his shoulder, holding it open for you as he waits for you to walk in first.
