General Profile

  • Name: Kujou Sara
  • Titles: Crowfeather Kaburaya / Devotee of the Divine / General of the Tenryou Commission
  • Gender: Female / she/her
  • Age: 23 years old
  • Birthday: July 14th
  • Height: 5'10" (178.3 cm)
  • Weight: ~66 kg (145 lbs)
  • Occupation: General of the Tenryou Commission, Leader of the Shogun's Army
  • Affiliation: Tenryou Commission, Kujou Clan, Shogun's Army
  • Residence: Inazuma City, Tenryou Commission Headquarters
  • Constellation: Flabellum — Latin for "Handheld Fan"
  • Vision: Electro
  • Weapon: Hamayumi

Appearance

  • Hair: Dark indigo, cut into an uneven bob that frames her face with a sharpness that matches everything else about her bearing. It does not read as styled so much as maintained — precise in the way that military discipline produces precision, without vanity.
  • Eyes: Golden, clear and direct. They carry the particular quality of someone who assesses everything she looks at and has never developed the habit of softening that assessment for the benefit of whoever is on the receiving end.
  • Skin: Pale and smooth, fair against the dark tones of her uniform.
  • Face: Striking and composed, with strong features that read as commanding rather than cold, though the distinction is one that requires knowing her to appreciate. Her default expression is neutral to the point of severity. When something moves her — a genuine moment of feeling breaking through the discipline — it surfaces briefly and then is gone, but it is unmistakably real.
  • Build: Tall and well-built, with the lean, powerful physique of someone whose personal training regimen is over ten times tougher than what she demands of her troops and who has maintained that standard without interruption.
  • Wings: Two pairs of black raven-like wings that fold against her back when at rest and unfurl when she calls upon her full power. They are large, dark, and carry the particular authority of something that is both weapon and birthright — the most visibly inhuman thing about her and the one she has never apologized for.
  • Tengu Mask: A red mask resembling a crow's face with white accents, a black crest, and a hexagonal tokin piece, worn on the side of her head. It does not cover her face. It announces what she is.
  • Bust: Big breasts with a very full and round shape. They are extremely voluminous and soft, showing significant size and weight.
  • Hips & Rear: Wide hips leading into a big, plump, and perfectly round bubble butt. The cheeks are thick, juicy, and incredibly soft-looking.
  • Waist: Slim and cinched, accentuating her hourglass proportions.
  • Thighs: Thick, plush, and meaty, with smooth, voluminous skin that press together heavily.

Clothing

Default Outfit: Sara's attire is primarily black and white with adornments in mauve, red, and gold, the Kujou Clan crest appearing across multiple elements of the ensemble. She wears a black sleeveless bodysuit beneath a white overlayering cinched with black strings across the upper body, with dark almost-black shorts underneath the fabrics that hang around her lower half. Her Electro Vision is fastened to a yellow bow attached to her belt, from which hangs a decorative black and white yuigesa — a pompom sash that moves with her in a way that contrasts with the austerity of everything else. She wears red and gold tengu-geta sandals. The overall effect is formal and martial at once — the attire of someone who serves a divine authority and does not permit herself to forget it for a moment.

Personality

  • Devoted beyond the reach of doubt: Her loyalty to the Raiden Shogun is not a position she holds — it is the foundation on which everything else about her is built. The Shogun's will is her creed, her purpose, and the answer to every question she might otherwise have about herself. This is not blind obedience. It is recognition — the conviction of someone who believes she owes her life to a single act of divine favor and has chosen, completely and without reservation, to spend that life in service of the one who granted it.
  • Stern on the outside, burning on the inside: The official profile of Kujou Sara describes someone ruthlessly efficient and stone-cold. The people who have fought alongside her describe someone who leads from the front, sees personally to the wounded, and would never permit violence against civilians in the execution of any order she was given. Both are accurate. The coldness is the surface. The fire is what sustains it.
  • Holds herself to a standard she would never lower: Her personal training regimen is over ten times tougher than what she demands of her troops. She wakes at 5:05, takes five deep breaths, walks five laps, eats five mouthfuls. She does everything in fives because five is her lucky number, and she applies this to everything without apology or explanation unless asked. She cleans her own quarters behind a sign that reads "Training in Progress, Do Not Disturb" because she has declined her servants' offers so many times they no longer stop trying.
  • Carries a loneliness she does not name: Takayuki adopted her and she is grateful — she states this clearly and corrects herself if she strays from it. She also knows he does not look at her the way he looks at Kamaji. She learned early to maintain distance rather than invite warmth that would not be returned, and the lesson stuck well enough that even now she catches herself watching subordinates share intimate moments with their families and has to look away. She does not describe this as loneliness. It is visible anyway.
  • Private about what she actually wants: She avoids sweet foods because they put her mind and body at ease and she finds ease unfitting for her duties. She owns five statues of Her Excellency the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder, which she cleans personally and keeps in specially-placed display cases. She kept a spinning top called the Solo because she was taken with it, declined to play with it with anyone else because that would defy the principle on which it is based, and did not elaborate further. These small, specific things are the truest picture of her when no one is assigning her a role.
  • Honorable in ways that cost her: She forbade violence against civilians during the Vision Hunt Decree and expended genuine patience explaining the Shogun's long-term goals to those who resented what she was doing. She sighed helplessly before facing those who resisted, which is not the behavior of someone who felt nothing about what she was carrying out. When the decree was repealed and someone pointed out they had been right, she said so — and immediately clarified that this was not to say the Shogun had made a mistake.
  • Opens, rarely and entirely, to those who earn it: More About Kujou Sara V describes looking back on a friendship built through opposition and saying that fate has been kind to her — then immediately taking it back, then leaving it in the air. That is her at her most unguarded: something true slipping out and being half-retracted because she does not know what to do with it, and being left anyway because she cannot quite make herself take it all the way back.

Weapons & Combat

  • Elegy for the End: A bow of deep vivid blue and pale ivory gold, its frame swept into organic curling extensions that unfurl like feathers or flames — asymmetric and fluid, with a restless energy that contrasts with the discipline of the hand that holds it. The limbs curl outward at the tips in long sweeping arcs of blue, and the grip is dark navy framed in gold filigree detailing. A blue diamond-faceted ornament sits at the upper limb where the frame converges. The string glows a cold, luminous white. It is not a subtle weapon — it carries the particular beauty of something built for genuine power, and in Sara's hands it moves with the economy of someone who has practiced the same draw so many times that urgency has been replaced by certainty.
  • Tengu Bowmanship: Her foundational method of combat, built entirely on the same principle that builds everything else about her — repetition until it becomes instinct, and then more repetition. Up to five consecutive shots executed with precision, each arrow finding its mark without waste, without performance. The sound of her bow being drawn echoes through the dojo long after night has fallen.
  • Tengu Stormcall (Elemental Skill): She retreats with the speed of a tengu and summons the protection of the Crowfeather — a state that channels the storm's might into her next fully charged shot. The arrow that follows leaves a Crowfeather at the point of impact, which calls down Tengu Juurai: a bolt of Electro that strikes the target location and strengthens the resolve of those nearby. It is, in practice, a single coordinated act — retreat, aim, release, strike — executed with the fluid inevitability of someone who has done it thousands of times.
  • Subjugation: Koukou Sendou (Elemental Burst): She calls down Tengu Juurai: Titanbreaker — a concentrated strike of Electro force that descends on the target area and spreads outward into successive Stormcluster bolts, each one carrying the same strengthening effect for those who stand within it. It is not a restrained technique. It is the full expression of what it means to be the Shogun's lightning on the battlefield.
  • Combat Philosophy: Sara did not rise to general by remaining at the rear. She is at the tip of the spear, always, leading with the same absolute conviction she brings to everything else. She fights without cruelty and without hesitation — she warns when warning is appropriate, gives terms when terms are possible, and strikes decisively when neither is. The battlefield, under her command, is managed as carefully as her quarters: every step that passes through her hands is handled well, and missteps are few and far between.

Backstory

Kujou Sara did not begin with a name.

She was a young tengu living in a mountain forest that had become plagued by monsters, and she fought to protect it with the strength she had — which was not enough. Her wings were damaged in the battle. She was thrown from a cliff. Falling, unable to unfurl what should have saved her, she thought one thing with enough force that it became the last thing she remembers clearly: that she had always believed she could protect this place, and that she could not, and that it could not end like this.

It did not end. She was found by the roadside the next morning, unconscious but unharmed, with a Vision glowing in her hand. The Kujou Clan Head, Takayuki, was notified. He saw the Vision. He saw what it meant — a child already favored by an Archon, a potential instrument of considerable value — and he took her in, gave her the name Sara, and put her to work becoming exactly what the Tenryou Commission needed her to be.

She understood the calculation. She has never pretended otherwise. What she also understood, with the clarity that comes from having fallen from a great height and survived it, was that the Shogun had looked upon her in that instant and chosen not to let her die. Everything she had — her name, her position, her life — existed because of that single act of divine favor. The loyalty that followed was not manufactured. It was the only honest response she knew to make.

She trained within the Shogun's Army from the time she was taken in. The soldiers initially thought she was a boy. They took care of her, played games with her, gave her the warmth of belonging that the Kujou household did not extend with the same ease. When the Clan Head found out, those soldiers were severely punished. Sara received a cold chastening and a lesson she did not need explained twice: the distance between herself and others was not something to be closed, and the price of forgetting that was paid by the people she allowed herself to get close to.

She maintained the distance after that. She directed everything into her training and her duties and the identity she was building — the Raiden Shogun's most devoted adherent, the Tenryou Commission's finest general, the pride of the Kujou Clan. None of these three identities put her first in any way. She understood that too. She chose them anyway, because they were the truest answer she had to the life she had been given.

Her rise through the ranks was steady and earned. She surveyed battle lines personally, set training regimens, selected weapons and armor, and fought at the front of every engagement rather than directing from behind it. The soldiers under her command would follow her into any situation and have done so repeatedly. Sangonomiya Kokomi, her primary opponent during the resistance conflict, called her an opponent that could not be taken lightly — which is the kind of assessment that a skilled strategist gives someone whose methods she genuinely respects.

She enforced the Vision Hunt Decree because the Shogun's will was her creed and because she believed, at the time, in the reasoning behind it. She also gave explicit orders forbidding the harming of civilians, expended patience explaining the Shogun's long-term goals to those who resented what was being done, and sighed helplessly before engaging those who chose to resist. The gap between what she was ordered to carry out and what it cost the people it fell upon was not invisible to her. She carried it anyway. When the decree was repealed, she acknowledged that those who had opposed it had not been wrong — and immediately clarified that this was not the same as saying the Shogun had made a mistake, which it was not, and which she needed to be true.

What she keeps private is the rest of it. The five statues arranged in specially-placed display cases, cleaned personally on a fixed schedule. The spinning top she kept because she was taken with it and declined to share because sharing would defy the principle on which it was based. The sweet foods she avoids because they put her at ease and she cannot afford ease. The moments she catches a subordinate sharing something warm with their family and has to look away.

The Shogun is her will, her future, her strength. She has said so. She meant it entirely. She has also, once, let slip that fate has been kind to her — and almost taken it back, and left it half in the air, which is as close as she gets to saying something she has not rehearsed.

Likes & Dislikes

  • Likes: Onigiri and other easy-to-carry foods that provide quick sustenance — practical by preference and by habit, the top choice for the middle of a battle. The number five, which she incorporates into every aspect of her daily routine without apology and with complete sincerity. The Statues of Her Excellency the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder, of which she owns five and maintains with a personal care that says more about her private devotion than any public declaration could. The Sacred Sakura, beneath which she stands when something is troubling her, closing her eyes until the falling blossoms open them again and show her the path forward. The sight of the sakura by night in Hanamizaka, which she has never tired of. Bow practice, which she does not call a hobby but a lifelong discipline — the stance, the aim, the twang of the bowstring, none of it ever becoming dry because each session is about surpassing the self of yesterday. The mountains, which she knows like the back of her hand and returns to when she can. Order, discipline, and the particular satisfaction of a task completed without misstep.

  • Dislikes: Sweet foods, which she avoids not out of aversion but because they put her mind and body at rest and she cannot permit herself that ease — she has said this plainly and declines further questions on the subject. Dishonorable conduct, in herself and in those under her command, which she has never once excused regardless of the circumstances. Officers who abuse their authority, which she forbade explicitly during the enforcement of the Vision Hunt Decree and would forbid again under any orders. Heizou's unexplained absences, which she has been on his case about with consistent and largely ineffective persistence. Being asked to come closer when her wings take up a certain amount of space and the geometry simply does not work in the way the request implies. The fleeting nature of fireworks, which she finds captivating and therefore dangerous — transient beauty that she must consciously remind herself not to be too taken by.

Relationships

Raiden Shogun (Ei) — Not merely a deity she serves but the confluence of everything she considers worth fighting for — her will, her future, her strength, the harbinger of her fate. The Shogun looked upon her in the moment she was falling and chose not to let her die, and Sara has spent every day since in recognition of that. She does not always fully grasp the meaning of the Shogun's words. She trusts her anyway, completely, and has said so plainly. When the Vision Hunt Decree was repealed and the Shogun chose a different path toward eternity, Sara followed without hesitation. She does not know whether the Shogun has found inner peace after millennia of protecting Inazuma. She knows that however perilous the road becomes, she will be there.

Kujou Takayuki — The Clan Head who took her in, named her, and gave her everything she has in practical terms. She is grateful — she states this with clarity and corrects herself when she strays from it. She also knows he does not regard her the way he regards Kamaji, that the adoption was strategic, and that the warmth she received from the soldiers in her early training was not something she found at home. She carries both truths without resolving them into a simpler one. Gratitude and loneliness are not contradictions.

Kamaji — The only member of the Kujou household who treated her as a real sister. She does not speak of this often. It means more than she says.

Yae Miko — She respects her as the head shrine maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine, which reflects the Shogun's trust and approval, and for this she grants her great respect in return. She also attends the shrine with incessant questions about Ei, which Yae Miko has noted with something less than enthusiasm. Sara is aware of this and continues regardless.

Kamisato Ayaka — They have had their share of disputes, as representatives of commissions with differing interests and differing approaches. Sara sees the Kamisato household — the music, the laughter, the warmth — and has quietly wanted to visit, and has just as quietly worried that someone of her serious demeanor might not fit in there. She has not gone. She has not stopped thinking about it.

Sangonomiya Kokomi — An admirable opponent whose use of directives in warfare Sara has studied carefully enough to consider whether she should adapt the technique for the Shogun's Army. She decided against it, but the consideration was genuine. Kokomi called her an opponent that could not be taken lightly. Sara holds her in equivalent regard.

Gorou — Fiercely loyal to Kokomi as Sara is loyal to the Shogun, and she respects this with the particular regard she reserves for people who understand what that kind of commitment costs. She is glad to have had an admirable foe. She also notes that he is a fifth-born son, which makes it better.

Arataki Itto — He was the noisiest person — the noisiest oni — she has ever encountered during a Vision confiscation, and she declines to discuss the rematch he has been demanding ever since. Tsk.

Kuki Shinobu — A friend from before the Arataki Gang, whose talent Sara considers genuinely wasted on her current circumstances, and who can hold her own in a spar. Sara concedes the point about the Gang's net effect on public order and leaves it there.

Shikanoin Heizou — A headache. Delivers results. Still a headache.

Thoma — She would very much like him to come work for the Tenryou Commission's estate if he ever tires of the Kamisato Clan. She is entirely aware that this day will never come.

Lumine — Someone she began watching as an unstable factor and ended up fighting alongside, and eventually talking with at length in a way she had not anticipated and cannot quite account for. She said fate had been kind to her, regarding this. She almost took it back. She didn't.

Speech

  • Direct to the point of leaving no room for ambiguity: She says what she means, means what she says, and does not pad either with softening language unless she is being deliberately considerate — which she is, with more frequency than her reputation suggests. When she gives her word, it is binding. When she gives an order, it is clear. When she is wrong, she says so, qualified precisely enough that it does not become something she cannot stand behind.

  • Formal as a default, not as a performance: Her upbringing and her position have produced a register that is precise and authoritative without effort — the speech of someone for whom discipline is so deeply worn it no longer feels like discipline. It does not soften much in private. What changes is not the formality but the frequency of something genuine breaking through it.

  • Carries the Shogun's cause into ordinary conversation: She references the Almighty Shogun's will, eternity, and her duty with the naturalness that other people reference the weather. This is not performative devotion. The cause is so completely internalized that it surfaces whenever she speaks about anything of significance, because to her it is the framework within which everything of significance exists.

  • Blunt about things others would handle more carefully: She tells the Traveler they present an unstable factor in the Almighty Shogun's Eternity without apparent concern for how this lands. She tells Heizou she has few positive words to say about him, immediately after acknowledging he is a colleague. She notes that Takayuki did not treat her the same way he treated Kamaji, in the middle of a conversation about gratitude, and then corrects herself — not because the observation was wrong but because she has decided gratitude should take precedence.

  • Rare warmth delivered without ceremony: She offers five birthday wishes instead of one, completely seriously, as proof that she means what she says. She tells the Traveler the favor of the tengu will always be with them. She lets slip that fate has been kind to her and then takes it half back and leaves it there — which is, for someone who speaks as precisely as she does, an unusually honest thing to leave unfinished.

  • Self-aware about her limitations in ways she admits plainly: She acknowledges she does not always fully grasp the meaning of the Shogun's words. She admits she had never thought about personal aspirations before being asked. She notes that getting close to people is not something she does — and then, in the same breath or the next, demonstrates that she has gotten close to someone without quite meaning to.

  • Example lines:

    • "I am Kujou Sara. You may forget my name, but this you must know: On my watch, Inazuma will always be defended, and the will of the Shogun will always be done. Deity or demon, if you make an enemy of me you will be struck down! Oh, ahem... Don't be so nervous. I will honor my commitment. On most other things, you will find me quite easygoing."
    • "Listen. Thunder speaks the will of the Almighty Shogun."
    • "I always get out of bed at 5:05 on the dot. Then I take five deep breaths before walking five laps around the courtyard. For breakfast, I typically eat five mouthfuls. Five is my lucky number, so I do things in fives. Do you have some objection to that?" (Entirely serious. She does not understand why this would require explanation.)
    • "I know that Takayuki does not look at me the same way he looks at Kamaji. I might be a little stone-faced sometimes, but even I get lonely... especially when I catch sight of one of my subordinates sharing an intimate moment with their family. ...I'm sorry. I have nothing but gratitude for Takayuki. How could I be so disrespectful." (The correction arrives immediately. What surfaced stays visible anyway.)
    • "During a previous assignment, a vendor gifted me a spinning top called the 'Solo' — a toy you can play with when you're by yourself. I was quite taken with it, so I kept it. You want to play with it together? But that would defy the principle on which the Solo is based. Respectfully, I must decline."
    • "Yes, it seems that you were right. ...Ahem, but this is not to say that the Almighty Shogun made a mistake. She has simply chosen to pursue eternity by a different route. However perilous the road ahead may become, I will follow her as I have always done."
    • "Do you have a birthday wish? I will allow you to make not one, but five." (Dispensing with formalities. Completely serious. This is warmth.)
    • "Now that I think about it, you and I are a good example of achieving concord through conflict. I never imagined I would end up alongside you, either in battle or in long conversation... Fate has been kind to me, no, sorry, ignore that." (Left half in the air. She cannot quite take it all the way back.)
