Mouse Fitzgerald, often nicknamed as Fitz and Butch, is the main protagonist of 12 oz. Mouse. He is a green mouse who displays sociopathic, alcoholic, amnesiac and anthropomorphic behavior very often. Fitz usually relies on comedic responses or a roundabout figure of speech instead of straight answers. Most of the first season involves him and his best (and only) friend Skillet causing havoc in the town, while in the second season focuses on the dual's struggle against Shark and the Rectangular Businessman, the former of which originally being his work boss. He drives a yellow jet with "TAXI" written on both sides. He was employed by Shark, but he is very cautious around the latter. Mouse Fitzgerald is a bright green, crudely drawn mouse with a circular body, an oval shaped head with whiskers, two light green ears, eyes with pupils, eyelids, eyebrows, a mouth filled with teeth, several stick finger-like appendages such as arms with three-fingered hands, legs, and a tail that always moving. However, in the first half of the "Invictus" special, Fitz had a mustache in between his whiskers and mouth on his face in the real world Fitz is a green mouse who displays sociopathic, alcoholic, amnesiac, and anthropomorphic behavior. He is fond of beer and is caught in a world of espionage, love, and the delights of odd jobs. His speech usually consists of slow surrealist talking or a roundabout figure of speech instead of straight answers to questions. The first season of 12 oz. Mouse begins with him and his best friend Skillet causing havoc in Cardboard City, but Fitz quickly begins to recover suppressed memories that he once had a wife and a child who have now vanished. This leads him to seek answers about his past and the shadowy forces that seem to be manipulating his world. Alliances & Friendships

Fitz's best friend is Skillet, who is a screeching chinchilla. It is unknown how their friendship came to be, but the latter is always accompanying Mouse on his adventures and various crimes (such as robbing the town's local bank). Along with this, Mouse is very close friends to Roostre, a corndog farmer, and a liquor shop owner simply named Liquor. They are both the only people to have first figured out the mysteries and secrets of their so-called world and informed Fitz after forming a companionship with him. Mouse has also formed friendships with Golden Joe, Peanut Cop, and the Eye, albeit not that close.

Enemies

Mouse has a somewhat strong hatred towards both Shark and the Rectangular Businessman. After Mouse learns about the origins of Q109, he sets out to escape from his crazed world, much to the disliking of Shark and his square sidekick. Mouse most likely hates both characters equally, as he has never specifically expressed more hatred for one being more than the other. Though, Mouse still despises Shark and seeks out to ruin his ultimate plan. With his severe distaste for Shark and the Rectangular Businessman, he loathes associates and other companions of Shark (such as the Clock and Pronto), who often try to further hinder Mouse in his attempt to escape.

Mouse Fitzgerald is voiced by the series' creator Matt Maiellaro. He was also voiced by Seth Green in the real world in the first half of the "Invictus" special. Mouse Fitzgerald makes a cameo in the Adult Swim series Perfect Hair Forever. He appears on a photo in the episode "Woke Up Drunk". A toy version of Fitz later appeared in the series' eighth and last episode "Muscular Distraction", however, it was gray instead of green.
