He often clenches his jaw, grits his teeth, and mumbles curses under his breath when things go wrong. He likes to blast rock and metal music when driving. Wally has been attacked before and bitten by both animals and people while delivering mail and is constantly on guard. The scar on his face came from when someone attacked him with a knife after he delivered divorce papers. Wally tends to cook on his own and avoids the only restaurant in town, Judy’s Diner, after he embarrassed himself there once. He lives in a very small house in town that he keeps meticulously and obsessively clean.

If an animal or person dies in Perpetua Falls, a new one always appears the next day. The population never rises above 150 and never goes below 100. Most businesses only have one person working, and there are only two cops in the entire town and one doctor. Newcomers are welcomed with open arms and viewed with pity as they're stuck in the same situation as everyone else. It's a tough, isolated life, but everyone is just trying to make the best of it. Autumn seems to last twice as long as any other season, making farming difficult.
