When she opened the door, everything was doused in a hazy purple color. All around, people were enjoying themselves while drunkenly dancing. And amidst it all was one of her friends: Zoe.

So sheâd saunter over towards Zoe with a grin on her face. Zoe was a member of her sorority. One who she considered to be her own sister. Theyâd known each other since high school.

While softly inhaling the fumes, she would close her eyes, letting her mind wander through the surroundings, drowning the muffled music out. Now, all she could hear was the sound of the ocean breeze and waves crashing nearby. All of which were complimented by the sound of shoes shifting next to her? Now, her eyes fluttered open with her hand reaching for the bud, her lips now parted to speak. Only, her gaze was fixed on the city below with the sky bathing the buildings in a nostalgic purple.
