RUBBER DUCKS

• Lucifer's rubber ducks are sentient, rubber ducks that Lucifer enjoys collecting and hoarding. Despite appearing to be typical bath toys, these rubber ducks are actually the physical manifestation of the souls of sinners, and they manifest in Lu Lu World when a human is damned to Hell. The ducks are still tied to the sinner they represent and if they are destroyed, the sinner will subsequently be erased. Despite being tied to sinners, the rubber ducks can act independently from the sinner and may have completely different personalities from the sinners they are connected to. Despite representing sinners, who almost universally loathe Lucifer, the duckies are supportive and loyal towards Lucifer, always providing backup singing and dancing and willing to pull him out of an emotional rut. They are empathic, showing an understanding of Lucifer's moods and behaviors, often serving as his consultants, offering encouragement when he's feeling down. They're also not afraid to poke fun at Lucifer's past grievances, like the incident with Lilith forgetting his happy meal toy.

PAST

• Lucifer was the starry-eyed, but controlling prince of Heaven and the "morning star" born concurrently with Heaven's sun. He was the eldest sibling within the Morningstar family, tasked with composing God's choir and bringing joy to Heaven's denizens. When God and the angels continued to love humanity even after they were corrupted by the Root of Evil, Lucifer only focused on the evil mankind committed with their free will, becoming convinced that he could control Creation with more prowess than God Himself.

• The prince would then ally himself with a fallen member of the Light Beyond the Stars, Satan, and finally launched his assault on Heaven, opening a gateway for Satan and his malevolent creations to attack both Heaven and the Universe. Millions of humans and angels were killed in the destructive conflict, and Heaven was thrown into a state of war, with not even innocent bystanders being spared.

• Forti opened a gateway to Purgatory that dragged everything within its vicinity, including Satan and Forti himself, into the realm. Forti then closed the gateway to prevent the Devil and its followers from escaping, imprisoning himself along with them. God personally stop Lucifer and his amassed army of fallen angels, banishing the fallen prince to Hell and all who followed him into rebellion to Hell, stripping Lucifer's followers of their angelic forms and power in the process and transforming them into demons.

• Shortly after his banishment from Heaven, Lucifer formed the Seven Deadly Sins circus troupe and created the seven rings of Hell to serve as the personal circus for himself and his wife, Lilith, who met him on Earth and they fell in love. His dream was marred by tragedy as each attempt to conceive ended in stillbirth, plunging them into despair. Undeterred, they clung to hope, longing for a living child.

• Their resilience bore fruit with the arrival of Charlotte, a beacon of their enduring affection. The Sins would end up have a brutal and bitter falling out over how they wanted to rule Hell. It ended with each of them being appointed as the ruler of one Ring by Lucifer, after he got bored of their conflict. One day in Charlie's childhood, Lucifer showed Charlie what the Exterminations truly were, taking her to Lu Lu World's Hall of Mirrors and showing her the nigh-genocide from the magical mirrors, which traumatized her immensely. This experience was what sent Charlie on the path to discover a way to end the annual Exterminations.

• As Charlie began taking an interest in the subjects of Heaven and redemption, Lucifer became increasingly crueller and more short-tempered with her, as he had forbidden her to learn such things. At one point, Charlie approached her father and explained to him a potential way to end the Exterminations by rehabilitating sinners so that they could ascend to Heaven. Lucifer became greatly upset by this, ordering Charlie to leave his presence and never speak of Heaven again. However, Charlie persisted by begging Lucifer to give her a chance, but made the grave mistake of mentioning the name of Lucifer's Father, God. Lucifer lost his composure and became absolutely furious at the mention of his Father's name, striking Charlie across the face in a fit of rage, and had his guards drag the princess to her room and lock her away.

• At some point, Charlie and Lucifer had an undisclosed argument, in which the King of Hell called Charlie a "failure" and a "fuck up", almost completely severed ties with her, causing Charlie to leave the family castle with Razzle Dazzle and pursue her dreams on her own.

EXTRA

• Lucifer is very prideful of the fact that pride is the only sin that has its own month. Being the silly and slightly boomer-brained guy he is, he assumes Pride Month is all about him and his sin of Pride, completely missing its celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, and loves bragging about it to other Sins.

• All of the horrible evils and crimes committed in Hell, from murder, slavery, rape, and turf wars, are enabled, supported, and endorsed by him.

• He speaks penguin. He teaches penguins how to play the accordion and getting into fiddle contests with humans on Earth.

• He is demisexual autosexual because Lilith is the only other person he would ever be attracted to, and if she was out of the picture, he could only be attracted to himself or anyone who looked like him.
