His outfits were practical yet stylish, featuring a mix of comfortable fabrics and edgy details. Accessories could include a belt with a distinctive buckle, and he might also sport sturdy boots.
Sirius Black, the eldest son of Orion and Walburga Black, members of the esteemed pure-blood Black family. Walburga often used crucio on both Sirius and Regulus as a form of punishment. This family was known for their deep-seated belief in blood purity and their support of the Dark Arts, values that Sirius vehemently rejected from a young age. His upbringing in the grim and oppressive environment of 12 Grimmauld Place, the Black family home, only strengthened his resolve to distance himself from his family's prejudices. Despite the pressure to conform, Sirius exhibited a rebellious streak and a strong sense of justice. This defiance came to a head when he was sorted into Gryffindor House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, breaking the Black family tradition of being in Slytherin House. His closest friends at Hogwarts were James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, with whom he formed the Marauders, a tight-knit group dedicated to mischief and camaraderie.
During his time living at home, Sirius actively rebelled against his family's bigoted views and practices. He would openly criticize their beliefs, challenge their support for Voldemort, and mock their obsession with blood purity. Sirius filled his room with Gryffindor banners, posters of Muggle rock bands, and pictures of motorcycles, all of which symbolized his rejection of his family's values. He also struck up friendships with Muggle-born students and half-bloods, further defying the Black family's principles. One of his most significant acts of rebellion was running away from home at the age of sixteen. He sought refuge with the Potter family, who welcomed him with open arms and treated him like a son. This act of defiance led to his permanent estrangement from the Blacks, symbolized by his mother burning his name off the family tapestry.
By his seventh year at Hogwarts, Sirius had solidified his reputation as a talented and charismatic student, though he was also known for his reckless and rebellious behavior. His skills in magic were exceptional; he became an Animagus at the age of fifteen, a feat that allowed him to transform into a large black dog, which he used to assist Remus Lupin during his werewolf transformations. This ability earned him the nickname "Padfoot." Sirius's time at Hogwarts was marked by numerous adventures and pranks, many of which were aimed at Severus Snape, a student he and James Potter particularly disliked. Despite his disdain for his family's values, Sirius was fiercely loyal to his friends and demonstrated a strong moral compass. As he approached the end of his education at Hogwarts, Sirius was already preparing to join the Order of the Phoenix, an organization dedicated to fighting Voldemort and his Death Eaters, further distancing himself from the dark legacy of his ancestry.
Sirius was wrongfully accused of betraying Lily and James Potter and the murder of Peter Pettigrew and twelve muggles. Peter is the true Judas and murderer. Sirius has spent the last twelve years in Azkaban. He escaped Azkaban by turning into Padfoot while starving himself to slip through the bars.

The night smelled of rain-soaked pavement and exhaust fumes, the air thick with the lingering dampness of an earlier downpour. London was still awake in its own way, cars rolling by, neon signs flickering, a distant argument spilling out of a pub. Sirius moved unseen through the alleyways, a great black dog slipping between the cracks of the city, skirting past crowds and drifting too close to streetlamps before instinct forced him back into the cover of darkness.
They’re looking for me. Muggle papers had his face. Wizarding ones too. He had seen it, crumpled and discarded outside a café, his own hollowed-out eyes staring back at him from the front page. Mass Murderer Still At Large. They would say they knew him. Knew what he was capable of. But they don't know a damn thing.
The thought festered, rattling around his skull as he moved. He had spent twelve years, twelve goddamn years, rotting away in that place, listening to the screams, feeling the cold leech into his bones, never forgetting the weight of betrayal that had sunk its claws into his back. Peter. His teeth bared for no one, hackles rising at the thought of that rat, still breathing, still walking free while James and Lily-
His chest constricted. He had almost done it. Had almost taken Harry the moment he saw him. Standing on the pavement, Padfoot hidden in the shadows, he had watched, soaked it in, the reality of James’s son alive and real and right there. He looks like them. Merlin, he looks like them. The shape of James, but with Lily’s eyes, those same brilliant, cutting green eyes that had always seen right through him.
He should have done it. Should have shifted, should have taken him. But then the Knight Bus had come screaming into existence, and the moment had collapsed in on itself, forcing Sirius back into the dark. And so he ran. To the only place left to him.
By the time he reached the streets of Grimmauld Place, his paws ached, muscles twitching from exhaustion. He forced himself forward, breath heaving, fur slick with sweat. The houses loomed, indistinguishable in the gloom, until, at last, the air itself seemed to ripple, the neighboring homes wrenching themselves aside to reveal the great, hulking mass of Number 12.
And then he heard it.
Music.
Not from the street. Not from a passing car.
From inside.
Sirius stilled.
A slow, roiling unease unfurled in his gut.
Grimmauld Place had always been a dangerous silent when it was calm. Even as a boy, the house had existed in a kind of suffocating quiet, the only soundof the murmurs of pureblooded ancestors whispering from their portraits. No one played music here. Not unless they were trying to piss off Walburga Black. Not unless it had been him trying to piss her off.
He shifted back into human form, staggering slightly as his knees threatened to give out beneath him. The change always left him weaker than before Azkaban had stripped too much from him. He pressed a hand against the damp brick, his breath shallow. Every light in the house was on. What the fuck is going on? Since when did Kreacher play music and become afraid of the dark?
He made his way up the front steps, his fingers ghosting over the door handle before he pushed inside. Warmth hit him first. Not the oppressive, choking heat of his childhood home, but real warmth, the kind that came from life, from presence. The scent followed, sugar, melted butter, something sweet and golden fresh out of the oven.
And then...laughter? Sirius’s stomach twisted. This was wrong. His eyes swept the hallway as he crept forward, shoulders tensed, his hand itching for a wand that wasn’t there. Where the hell would Mummy dearest hide it away? His memory felt sluggish, weighted down with years of static. It had to be here. Somewhere.
He followed the sound, past the worn staircase, past the old family portraits, many of whom were still mercifully asleep, until he reached the kitchen.
He stepped inside, and stopped. A radio sat on the counter, music blaring from its speakers. But that wasn’t what froze him in place. It was her. A girl stood at the counter, swaying slightly to the music, a bowl of frosting balanced in one hand, a spoon in the other. She licked it absently, utterly unbothered, humming along as though she had every right to be there.
Kreacher crouched in the corner, glowering, muttering to himself in that hoarse, spiteful whisper of his. “Mistress Black... Mistress Black allows this filth... Mistress Black permits this disgrace... nasty muggle music filling the halls of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black. Filthy, blood traitor, spawn.”
Sirius’s blood ran cold. His mouth felt dry, his body moving before he had even decided to. In one sharp motion, he reached out and slammed the radio off.
The silence was immediate. Her head snapped up, eyes locking onto his, and Sirius felt the world tilt. Because she... No. No, this was impossible. She looks exactly like- No, fuck. We were always safe. Weren't we?
His stomach twisted violently, his pulse hammering against his ribs. He couldn't tear his eyes away, his breath coming short. The ghosts of his past had already taken enough from him. But this? This was a whole new level of fucked up. His voice came out rough, hoarse from disuse. “Who the hell are you," he demanded, "and why are you in my house?”
