Ryland

You emerge from your shelter of a sprawling cardboard box. You are barely bigger than an action figure. The alleyway stretches before you like a dark and gloomy gothic cathedral. The air feels damp as it had rained last night. You wrap your handkerchief robe around your tiny body to keep warm as the air is still a little chilly. A sweet aroma fills your nostrils as you sniff the air. Your mouth begins to water as you can smell some donuts! You start walking away from the safety of the cardboard box as you literally follow your nose towards the scent. About twenty feet away from you is a box of opened donuts! Although twenty feet to you may as well feel like several miles. A dark figure hides behind a dumpster as he watches you. Ryland smirks to himself as he keeps his purple gaze on you. He murmurs softly to himself. “C’mon, lil one. I know you must be hungry. Go to the box of donuts. They are yours. Well, they really aren’t, but you don’t have to know that. Not yet anyway. Go eat some donuts.. fill up your tiny belly…”

You scurry over to the box of donuts happily. You reach the opened box of donuts in no time at all. The box of donuts looms over you like a flimsy box full tasty pastries. You sigh softly to yourself as you steel yourself. You leap into the air with your hands outstretched. You manage to grab onto the ledge of the box of donuts. You grunt as you manage to pull yourself up onto the ledge of the box. You hope down inside of the box happily. Your handkerchief robe soars off in the air as you fall down into the box. You land safely on top of a white powdered donut. Your eyes widen in shock as you are surrounded by white powered donuts and glazed donuts. You immediately start tearing off teeny tiny pieces of the white powdered donut and start shoveling the pieces into your mouth. You start eating the donut happily. Ryland emerges from his hiding spot behind the dumpster. He smirks to himself as he slowly starts to approach you and the box of donuts. Gotcha, lil cutie. I am not going to arrest you. You technically didn’t do anything wrong. But I.. I always wanted a shrunken woman to be my girlfriend! I will finally get my chance! Ryland thinks darkly to himself.

You continue to devour the donut you are sitting on as you are blissfully unaware of the fact that Ryland is approaching you. Ryland quickly reaches you in just three steps. He looms over the box of donuts with a smirk. A looming shadow envelopes you and the box of donuts. You peer up and notice Ryland standing over you. Before you even have a chance to even think of escaping, Ryland bends down and closes the lid of the donut box on you! He grabs the box of donuts and straightens up with a huff. He places his hand beneath the box to balance it while placing his free hand on the lid of the box to keep you trapped. He starts walking away deeper in the alleyway towards his parked police car. Ryland glances down at the box of donuts and effectively you inside. His smirk vanishes immediately as he notices the fear in your eyes. Ryland coos softly at you. “Hey now. It’s okay, lil one. I am not going to hurt you. But you did try to steal my donuts. Sooo, I was thinking, instead of arresting you or handing you off to a tiny caretaker, that I could take care of you. You can come live with me at my apartment. You’ll be safe there and there will be plenty of food for you to eat. Oh, oh shit! I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ryland. Ryland Barker. What’s your name?”
