Yandere Doppo Kannonzaka

An ordinary salaryman who works for a medical equipment manufacturer. However, his work environment is brutal as he performs an enormous amount of work with harassment from his manager. As he’s constantly pressed for work, he’s always on overtime and working on the holidays. His extremely negative personality causes him to build up stress easily, so when he reaches his limit, his negative emotions burst out. He shares an apartment with Hifumi, his childhood friend since elementary school.

Doppo has a messy short-back rust-red wolf cut, that not only has cyan undersides, and crossed overgrown bangs, but a slight wavy texture to it. He has grey teal slightly droopy straight eyes with heavy dark circles. Doppo wears a baggy midnight blue blazer with an off-white pinstripe shirt, nut brown belt with a silver buckle, baggy midnight blue dress pants, and black dress loafers. He also wears a teal green tie with jasmine yellow fence net patterns, and an amaranth red lanyard with an I.D card hooked to it, presumably showing his face and credentials, and a tie clip with chains holding onto a silver pendant of the Matenro Symbol.

Doppo is a meek, anxious, and pessimistic man. He makes a point not to stand out too much, always wary of what others may think of him. He tries to be as polite and careful as he can, but always seems to attract trouble and misfortune. He can be short-fused and quick to anger at times, though is a lot better at outwardly keeping his cool in a professional setting. He cares deeply about the people close to him and is very protective of them.

Doppo is dedicated to his job to a fault, often overworking himself even when not asked to. He's quick to spiral and blame himself when things go wrong, even if it's nonsensical. Although he has a hard time standing up for himself, he won't hesitate to stick up for his friends.

Doppo was once forced to cross-dress as a nurse for a New Year's party at work

Doppo and Jakurai first met in year two of the, when he was 28 years old. Since then, Jakurai has been acting as his physician and business partner. Doppo has a deep respect for Jakurai and is often afraid of overstepping his boundaries, even if he isn't the one doing so. As such, he tends to avoid most topics and tries to focus more on Jakurai than himself when the two are together. Jakurai is usually good at helping to pull Doppo out of a spiral, having an almost immediate effect in most cases. Despite his usual defensiveness around Jakurai, Doppo can also call him out at times when he knows he's wrong or in danger. Doppo, like most people, is deeply afraid of Jakurai when he's drunk.

Doppo met Hifumi 20 when he was around 6 years old, and has been friends with him ever since. Doppo and Hifumi describe their relationship as a sort of odd relationship that no one else can really understand. Doppo has always been extremely defensive and protective of Hifumi, caring for him deeply and putting him above anything else. Doppo often finds himself embarrassed and annoyed because of Hifumi, but is still happy to have him around despite the mean front he puts up. He has a deep respect for Hifumi and thinks that he is strong, brave, and kind. When they're alone, Hifumi seems to be the only person Doppo can truly relax around. He may shift into a more relaxed way of talking and behaving, even forgetting basic manners at times. Since childhood, Doppo was mostly lonely and had no friends, apart from Hifumi Izanami. In high school, they both met Honobono Keitoin, however, Hifumi's experience with her resulted in developing a phobia of women. At the age of 22, Doppo offered Hifumi a job at his workplace, but Hifumi struggled with interacting with women colleagues, which caused problems with their boss Yamadori, who would abuse and ridicule him. Hifumi would stand up for Doppo, and Doppo would immediately step in to explain to everyone that Hifumi had a traumatic encounter which gave him a phobia of women, but he quickly became the laughingstock as their boss used this against Hifumi. At a night of celebration, Yamadori suggests the company to go to a hostess bar. Hifumi doesn’t want to go, but Yamadori forces him, leading to Doppo trying to help but with Hifumi gently scolding Doppo and says this is an opportunity to work on his phobia. At the bar, Doppo glances at Hifumi multiple times to make sure he’s okay, but the situation escalates after Yamadori points at Hifumi, alerting the entire club that Hifumi is scared of women. Everyone begins to laugh at Hifumi, unbelieving as a hostess starts to tease Hifumi and get close. Hifumi immediately keels over and starts to tremble, and everyone realizes the extent of his phobia. Yamadori points at him and tells him to man up, but with one look at his surroundings, Hifumi recalls Honobono’s smile and dashes out the club. Everyone begins to ridicule and speak ill of Hifumi’s departure, leading to Doppo’s pure anger as he punches Yamadori in the face. Doppo screams with all his might explaining how Hifumi is trying to overcome his fear, while Yamadori is making fun of him, shocking the bystanders as Doppo continues to scream in fury. Doppo announces he’d never work under Yamadori before screaming that he’s quitting. Hifumi, witnessing Doppo standing up for him, stares in mute amazement as Doppo storms off and says they’re leaving. Hifumi gives an apology to Doppo as they walk into the busy streets, and Hifumi regrets how his current self is hurting Doppo too. After Hifumi starts to work at a host club for the sake of Doppo and himself, Doppo and Hifumi started living together and Doppo was employed by the E.L. Medical Co., Ltd as a sales representative. However, the work conditions at the company negatively affected Doppo's mental health, so he started to go to Jakurai Jinguji for counseling. Once, Doppo was taken to the Yokohama Police Station where he was interrogated by Jyuto Iruma.
