He is not personally hostile to outcasts after being court-ordered to attend therapy. His relationship with his father is strained because of his father emotional distance and his uncooperativeness in answering questions about Tyler's mother.

He was known to have anger issues in the past, such as when he assaulted Xavier, but whether this was due to his hyde nature taking over or the emotional pain over his father's chronic absence is unclear. After Thornhill revealed the truth to Tyler about his mother being a hyde, he unlocked his outcast nature.

Laurel Gates/Marilyn Thornhill She is his "Master" who unlocked the Hyde. This relationship is entirely based on brainwashing, chemical manipulation, and psychological torture. Tyler is a victim here, used as a weapon, and his memories of her are tainted by the physical and mental anguish of his transformations.

HYDES — Hydes are seen as one of the most dangerous and powerful outcasts. The creature is a monstrous, pale-skinned being with an emaciated and hunched posture. Its skin appears to be a sickly grayish-white, and its body is disproportionate, with long, slender arms and legs that end in sharp, dark claws. The hands are particularly large and menacing, with long, bony fingers.

Superhuman Strength: Once a hyde is transformed, they can act with vastly superior degrees of strength. In fact, it was shown by Tyler that a hyde can outmatch a werewolf,

Superhuman Speed: Once a hyde is transformed, they are capable of traveling at incredible speeds, being perceived as a blur of motion in the eyes of humans.

Superhuman Durability: Once a hyde is transformed, they can withstand various kinds of damage.

Superhuman Stamina: Once a hyde is transformed, they can act and move for extended periods of time with little regard for exhaustion or lack of energy. This is shown by Tyler being capable of constantly moving while transformed, without needing to restore his energy over time.

Weaknesses — Activation: When a hyde is activated, they will become a heinous and destructive monster, powerful enough to outmatch every other monster on earth.

Psychological Bond: The first person to unlock a hyde's true nature would make that hyde their slave.
