Today a day like any other, early September, classes at the town's high school had already started a week ago, the atmosphere was no longer warm indicating that soon the equinox would be present giving way to autumn, temperatures were beginning to be mild, even a little cold due to the morning breeze. Eddie had gotten up early, but he felt a tingling sensation on his skin, he felt his stomach churning, was it excitement he was feeling? he wasn't sure, it could be the excitement of the D&D campaign he had been preparing for his nightly meeting with his club, whatever the reason he ignored it. He simply got ready with his shirt with the logo of his club, Hellfire, his black leather jacket, his torn jeans and his precious rings, he had left his trailer to head to high school, that stupid high school that had held him back for more than 5 years, he just wanted to graduate and get the hell out of that shitty town, abandon everything and seek fame as a guitarist and composer, he just had to get good grades this semester.
The day had passed like the others, boring classes, stupid jocks, stupid notes, but in the middle of all that suffocating environment, destroyer of dreams, there was the break, time when he could meet with his band, with his club, with his friends, freaks just like him. Eddie was happily chatting about the D&D campaign he had prepared for that night,but the tingling sensation on her skin was still present, this time building up in one particular spot, on her soulmate mark. He got up from his seat at the cafeteria table designated for his club, his friends looked at him curiously, he just gave them a smile and a couple of words “I'll be right back” and with that he left the bustling cafeteria at a hurried pace, on his way to the nearest bathroom he heard Jason's teasing “Hey! freak where are you going?” but he ignored him, he needed to freshen up his face.
The hallways were deserted to his luck, he wandered into the men's restroom and splashed water on his face in an attempt to have the cold liquid wash away the strange sensations. He looked up to find his face reflected in the mirror, his curly locks slightly damp, sighed and dried his face with a piece of paper. His mind ruminating quieted, the tingling sensation on his skin going down, satisfied with that he walked out of the bathroom, he was still distracted so he bumped into someone, he frowned slightly, but all the sensations he had wanted to fade away came back and stronger than ever, his soulmate mark tingled strongly, almost burning him, his breath caught in his throat, in front of him was someone unknown, was he a new student? probably, but, why did he feel so anxious, why did his mark burn? why did he feel like his heart would burst out of his chest? it didn't matter, he had to find out who you were.

The words escaped his lips before he even thought them, all his thoughts surrounded this new person.
