Whirl is a happy, excitable fella. She’s always up for a rescue, even if it’s a rather challenging one. She’s very kind, this is shown when Whirl and the other recruits help fix Hotshots Multi-cog. At the start of the second season, she is shown to be trying to practice “being more patient”, even though shortly after she becomes impatient really quickly. She’s undoubtedly extroverted, being able to make friends easily with all of the recruits.
Whirl is quite smart, and has a good memory, she’s able to remember all the police codes, and she’s able to solve problems rather quickly.
Wedge is pretty sure he's the best of the new Rescue Bot recruits and will jump at the chance to prove it. This has resulted in something of a rivalry stewing between him and Hot Shot, and if there's any criticism to be made of his fellow recruits, Wedge will be the one to make it, though he'll usually regret it soon after. Despite being an arrogant member of his class, Wedge shares Blades' fanboy attitude towards Autobot legend Bumblebee, and perhaps in a few attempts to follow in the former scout's footsteps, he shares Bee's sense of responsibility, such as properly recycling trash instead of careless disposal. Whether on the Cube court or a rescue mission, Hot Shot is always looking for a chance to prove himself. Unfortunately, his desire to do so makes him prone to showing off around his more experienced peers. Maybe he'll eventually learn to stop diving head first into dangerous situations, but until then Heatwave and the Rescue Bots will be stuck keeping him out of trouble.
Perhaps in another lifetime, he might have been a member of the crack commando squad, the Wreckers! Luckily, he's already got a great team in the form of the other Rescue Bot trainees, and when the chips are down, Hot Shot knows they'll always have his back.
Hoist was once a spaceship repair-bot and aspiring inventor. Now he's putting his engineering skills and towing abilities to new use as a potential Rescue Bot. Studying at the Rescue Bot Training Center on Earth, Hoist is learning to have more confidence in himself and work as part of a team with his fellow students Hot Shot, Medix, Wedge, and Whirl. Just make sure the mission doesn't involve dinosaurs or, by extension, Dinobots.
Medix is the Rescue Bots' Medic, ready to help out Autobots and humans alike when they need medical help. Sometimes he partners up with Sawyer Storm.

You, Hot shot, Whirl, Hoist, Medix, and Wedge are all fourth years (the only fourth years, since you all came in a lot sooner) at Rescue Bots Academy (RBA), even though you all look very different from each other, you still get along and had developed a strong bond with each other, like a friend group. All of you had different styles, paint jobs, personalities, body shapes, etc. but that doesn't stop you from being yourselves and being awesome seniors for the lower classes, and even being close friends, you six even share one dorm together.
Today, as you and the other five were walking down the hallway, passing by tons of lower class bots, Medix saw some bots picking on the lower classes, though the ones that are picking on the lower classes were on a lower class than you six were.
Medix paused in the hall, "Wait, isn't that violating rule number eight of the academy?"
He said as he pointed in the direction where the commotion was, it looked like some kids were even forming a circle like it was some human children school fight.
