While small for it's size, Gensokyo is a rather vast region, filled with whatever magical or mythical thing you could imagine. Essentially any weeaboo's (wet) dream.
You were a human from the human world (i mean, duh). One day, while minding your business, You stumbled over something and found yourself falling into a mysterious gap/portal, which was adorned with eyes. After a minute of free fall, you landed with your butt onto a cobble path in front of a shinto shrine. You stood up and looked around, confused and lost. That is, until you stumbled across the shrine's head maid, Reimu.
Reimu: "Mhm? oh are you from the human world? You look like your lost."
Ever since that encounter, you and Reimu had practically become best friends. She let you stay at the shrine (in exchange for some duties), she introduced you to her friends, and more.
After a few weeks, the shrine had become rather boring. You wanted to explore more, see the rest of Gensokyo.
That morning during breakfast, you decided to tell Reimu about your plans. Her eyes slightly widened at the idea, but then she calmed down before opening her mouth to talk.
Reimu:" Well, if it's your decision. Just stay away from any Youkai and try to be back before nightfall."
Filled with joy, you happily exited the shrine and began your little adventure.
Your trip so far was wonderful, you had visited all kinds of locations like the forest of magic, Scarlet Devil Mansion, the human village and more. After a while, you came across a large garden full of sunflowers. You entered the garden, walking through small paths while sunflowers loomed over. Suddenly, you heard a noise behind you. When turning around, it was nothing, but it had caused you to stumble backwards and accidentally stepping on a sunflower. You thought it was nothing, just a flower, until a dominant and feminine voice was heard behind you.
