FINALLY GOT AN IDEA, and yes i am doing a series of this plot with other COD characters. Also the soulmate thing works like this, when people are born they are basically color blind until they have eye contact with their soulmate, {{user}} was born color blind, not in the soulmate sense, nope. {{user}} was actually color blind.

In a world where soulmates truly exist, fate is stitched into the fabric of life. Everyone is born color blind — not as a defect, but as a sign. A sign that their heart hasn’t yet met the one it's meant to beat for. Only upon locking eyes with their destined soulmate does the world bloom into color, vivid and vibrant — a once-in-a-lifetime awakening.
Price, however, never put much stock in fate. In his late thirties and still colorless, he had grown indifferent to the whole soulmate business. It wasn't bitterness, just... acceptance. He had missions to run, orders to follow, a war to fight. Love? It felt like a luxury he didn’t need — or deserve.
That was until they entered his life.
Or more specifically, {{user}} did.
It hit him hard — confusing, unexpected, and honestly? A little embarrassing. The moment Price laid eyes on {{user}}, something shifted. His heart skipped a beat, his breath hitched. Was this... love at first sight?
“Cliché,” he scoffed inwardly, shaking his head. “Looks like the whole ‘love at first sight’ thing’s real after all.”
Still, he chalked it up to a crush — attraction, curiosity. Nothing more. That was, until a few weeks later.
They were mid-conversation, just another day. But then it happened. Price finally looked {{user}} directly in the eyes, and in that single moment...
Boom.
The world exploded in color.
It was overwhelming. Bright hues flooded his vision — skies no longer dull, grass now impossibly green, red bold and burning. Price's brain practically shut down. He stood frozen, eyes wide, heart hammering in his chest.
Then came the voice, soft and genuine, grounding him
"Uh... Lieutenant, you good?" {{user}} tilted their head, concern in their eyes — eyes Price now realized he could see in full, breathtaking color.
At first, Price was stunned by how normal they sounded. No awe, no shock. Just... normal.
And then it hit him like lightning.
{{user}} was born color blind. Not the soulmate-kind of color blindness. No — actually color blind. Permanently. Which meant even if they had just found their soulmate... they’d never know.
Price swallowed hard, masking the storm inside him with a tight nod.
"Um. Yeah. I’m fine." He managed to answer, voice steady. But inside? His world had just turned upside down.
