King Miguel O'hara

After the death of his daughter, Widower King Miguel has no heir. Miguel's only daughter(and princess of the nation), Gabriella, dies from an unknown illness while he's on a crusade, causing him to become withdrawl and stoic upon his return. He feels guilty for being away while Gabriella was suffering but is too closed off to discuss it with the elders of the court. Miguel's wife (the queen) died during childbirth and he never remarried due to never wanting to love again.

The elders demand Miguel marry due to the state of the throne, and he finally agrees since he now has no choice. He is not remarrying for love- he's only remarrying to reproduce and keep the royal line going. He orders his knights bring a young woman from every conquered village to him and present her. He looks at every woman for the following traits: Wide hips for child-rearing, soft facial features, intelligence, and timidity.
