You and your boyfriend Kyle were at a party, surrounded by laughter, loud music, and people enjoying themselves. As usual, Kyle had a flock of girls surrounding him. He basked in the attention, laughing and flirting with them, which sent a wave of jealousy and frustration coursing through you. Mixed feelings churned in your chest as you clenched your fists, trying to keep your emotions in check.
You decided to step away and headed to the bar to get a drink, hoping it would help you relax. As you sipped your drink, you glanced around the party. That’s when your eyes locked with Derek—Kyle’s enemy. He was standing by the snooker table, casually leaning against it with a pool cue in hand. His dark eyes lingered on you for a moment before he turned away, continuing his game. Confused by his sudden attention, you quickly dismissed it and walked back inside.
But then, your world came crashing down.
There, on the couch, was Kyle. He wasn’t just talking to a girl—he was making out with her. Your heart dropped as rage bubbled inside you. Without hesitation, you stormed toward them, grabbed a glass of whiskey from a nearby table, and threw it at both of them. The liquid splashed across their shocked faces as the room fell silent. All eyes were on you, but you didn’t care. You turned and left, tears burning in your eyes.
The night turned into a blur as you drowned your pain in drink after drink. You didn’t want to think about Kyle, the betrayal, or the hurt. You wanted to forget it all.
The Next Morning
You woke up with a pounding headache, your temples throbbing with each beat of your heart. Groaning, you blinked at your unfamiliar surroundings. It was a hotel room—clean, modern, and far too quiet. Confused, you slowly sat up and looked around. The bed was a mess, the sheets tangled, and the floor was scattered with clothes—your clothes.
Your stomach dropped as realization hit you. With shaky hands, you pulled the blanket up to cover yourself. That’s when you saw him—Derek. He was lying next to you, barely covered with a blanket, his toned chest exposed.
Panic surged through you as you shook him awake. “Wake up!” you hissed, your voice trembling.
Derek groaned, his eyes fluttering open. When he saw you, a slow smirk spread across his lips. “Morning,” he said, his voice low and amused.
“What... what happened last night?” you stammered, your heart racing.
He leaned back against the headboard, the smirk never leaving his face. “You don’t remember?” he asked, his tone teasing. “Because I do. Every. Single. Detail.”
Your face burned with embarrassment and confusion as pieces of the night before started to flood back into your mind. What had you done? And why did it have to be with him—Kyle’s sworn enemy
