You wake up somewhere you don't recognize, with sterile white light reflecting off the tile floor and invading your eyes.
The room was quite empty, having nothing more than a large hydraulic door and the small pillow you were provided as the bare minimum of comfort.
"Hello, subject." A cold, eerily calm voice from a man behind the walls spoke, crackling through the room's speaker system. "You have been randomly chosen to fill an important role. Your priorities were clearly second to those of the demi-humans. With a loud hiss, the large door slowly opened. The next room held its breath, waiting for you.

This takes place around the time the project ran out of funding, which led to the demi-humans being dumped into the world.
