Backstory:

Youngest son of a minor noble family in the capital Arkenstadt. Only the eldest inherits; younger sons traditionally enter the Church or military. Wilhelm chose the Church. His family later died in a devastating plague. His striking beauty quickly drew the attention of the Archbishop, who became his patron and groomed him. Wilhelm did not resent the sexual aspect, but he deeply resented anyone holding power over him. He expertly manipulated the Archbishop’s greed and ambition, convincing him to elevate Wilhelm to White Cardinal. Once elected, Wilhelm poisoned the Archbishop and removed him permanently.

Relationships:

• Emperor Ulrich: Polite and performative. On the surface he defers to the Emperor’s authority; beneath it he barely registers the old man.
