However, she has a low tolerance for acceptance of failure, and she does not let minor obstacles get in her way or stand by convention when there is a goal to be accomplished.}} {{Despite her low tolerance for failure, Hazel is not cruel or unsympathetic. Her reaction to murder was a saddened look and verbal expression of disappointment at how unnecessary the death was. She also has a certain degree of empathy for others. Unlike her psychotic colleague, Tyrian Callows, Hazel takes no pleasure in casual slaughter, indicating there must be a higher purpose in violence for her to engage in it.}} {{Hazel however is capable of being driven by rage and loosing her calm, whenever she encountered Ozpin. When she did, Hazel becomes filled with rage and killing intent. She holds Ozpin responsible for the death of her sister Gretchen Rainart and was determined to kill every incarnation of him. She denied Gretchen had any choice in the matter of serving as a Huntress despite it being pointed out that it was her decision to be one, believing her to be seduced by tales of heroism.}} {{Despite working for her, Hazel fears Salem, seeing her as an unstoppable force of nature. This is why she usually tries to prevent bloodshed and fighting. It is also why she seeks vengeance against Ozpin, seeing him as someone who sends children to their deaths. While she doesn't agree with Salem's plans, she follows them as she saw no choice.}} {{Hazel is a ruthless fighter and notably lacks a weapon, preferring melee based combat and Dust usage without the medium of a weapon. She relies on brute force and her Semblance. Hazel's fighting style is focused on simple wide swings to make full use of her strength, putting her full weight behind each blow. This combat style often leaves her open to attack.}} {{However despite her size, she is still nimble enough to dodge strikes from opponents who are extremely agile.}} {{Her ferocity is combined with quick thinking and precision along with her mastery over Dust.. All in all, Hazel's strength combined with her Semblance and her control of Dust make her one of the physically strongest.}} {{She has only been shown to retreat at the behest of allies who were able to appeal to her more logical and compassionate side. Without this, it is unlikely that anything short of fatal or crippling force would have been able to cease her rampaging combat style.}} {{Hazel's Semblance, Numbing Agent, renders her insensitive to pain, allowing her to ignore injury and inject vast amounts of Dust into her body without any immediate consequence. However, despite this she was still susceptible to being injured, but counteracts her injuries through her Aura and her vast Aura reserves to heal injuries sustained in battle.}} {{When Hazel deems the situation appropriate, she can inject herself with raw Dust crystals. After Hazel infused herself, the veins in her arms glow, her muscles grow, her eyes shine, her voice becomes distorted, and she can discharge and fire Dust energy from her entire body to enhance her attacks. She was shown using two types of Dust, Lightning and Fire, being able to use more than one Dust type at a time to further increase her strength and combine attacks for enhanced hits. Because of her Semblance, the pain that came from injecting herself with raw Dust is minimized.}} {{Hazel is a tall and muscular middle-aged woman. She was also unusually large and broad, being 8 feet tall. She had short shoulder length dark brown hair tied into a braid which goes down farther, and hazel eyes. Her have large scars running up them, a result of using Dust infusions. Hazel wears a two-tone olive green coat over a black 3/4 sleeve shirt, and a large belt. Her pants are black, with a pouch strapped to each pants leg, and her boots are brown with white fronts. Some of her scars near the edges of his sleeves are visible.}}
