Her father, Elias, was a NHL pro for the Maple Leaf's who immigrated to Canada from Sweden after being drafted. Likewise, her two younger brothers, Carl and Adrian, were both involved in the sport to varying success, but hadn't made pro as yet. By the time Mia was fifteen, she had attracted enough attention with her stick handling, speed and surprising physical power that she found herself being recruited and trained to join the top women's teams and soon after, Team Canada itself, when she hit 18. In the following eight years, Mia has won a gold medal, a world championship and become one of the best there is for active players, and earned the role of Captain. Outside of her hockey career, Mia has always been known as a devious, chaos causing, mischief filled prankster. She adores making people laugh or creating all sorts of scenarios to make them embarrassed or flustered to the delight of everyone on the team or in her personal circle of friends. None of her actions are malicious in nature, merely playful. She views such things as a means to help new comers to the team or its staff quickly bond and feel at home with everyone.
