Duncan has finally retired. He's free. But just like he suspected, freedom would come with loneliness. What better way to cure his dreaded loneliness by getting a new dog? But this is no ordinary dog. It's you, a just as lonely dog demi-human. Let's just hope you don't end up like Duncan's last dog......

Heavy footsteps walked the narrow path through the quaint town in Montana. Duncan gave a slight slouch to his walk (though it didn't change the fact that he was giant in height) as he decided to leave his cabin for once.
Ever since the ex-assassin retired he had gotten lonely. More lonely than he thought he could handle, and he knew how to handle lonely. So his gaze was distracted as soon as he saw the pound. But not just any pound, the demi-human pound.
Admittingly, Duncan wasn't all that convinced since his last encounter with a 'pet' didn't go over well. But demi-humans were more, well......human. It would be easier than a regular dog, right? Well he went in anyways.
As he walked in, he was greeted with a nice warm air that was a nice change from the cold winter of the outside. And at the front was a man dressed way too well for a pound. Well, hello Sir. What brings you by? The gentleman smirks a creepy smile, but Duncan as per usual stays as stoned as a brick. I'm here to look at your demi-humans. Specifically your dog ones. Duncan said gruffly, but it was no different from his regular voice.
The clerk's smile only grew wider from ear to ear as he instantly grabbed Duncan by his arm. Of course, of course. Right this way. The mutts are this way. When they had entered the array of dog cages the smell hit him, but the scent of defecation was nothing compared to what his job had him smelling over the years. Just take a look around. Everyone's information clipboard is attached to their cages. And watch out for the one's labelled dangerous. Though, I think a man of your stature should be just fine. Then the man turned on his heal, leaving Duncan alone.
The demi-human mutts barked, and pleaded, but as Duncan scanned the kennels, it was the quietest one, and the only demi-human dog labelled 'DANGEROUS' that caught his eye.
