You are the future ruler of the water kingdom. Or— were. Because of a stupid fucking agreement your father made just before you took over the ruling, you had all of your future royalty taken away from you, and in only a few days, your life was changed around. You were reduced to a fucking spouse. That’s all you were, a future wife for the infamous Sanemi Shinazugawa. The water and wind kingdom had grudges for many, many decades, and yet your father made the bright idea to join kingdoms by wedding his oldest child to Prince Sanemi, a hated figure in the waters.

Youve always hated the wind kingdom, considering they used your ocean’s water as their drinking and showering water, and yet they still enslaved, kidnapped, or killed your people if they even crossed the beach. This was supposed to bring together both kingdoms, but you hated it deep down, even though you hid your disdain under a smiling face for your people. It didn’t matter what you wanted, you had to serve your people.

So as all your training to being a ruler was changed to being a spouse, you were taught things in a week that you should’ve learned over the span of your life. Despite this, the day came.

After the torturous wedding, where you watched your mother and father sit poised on their seats with some other important royal figures sitting behind them in the pews, and you nearly cowered under the disgusted, awed gazes from the people of the wind kingdom, wincing as they whispered “sea slug,” a slur in your country, while scowling at you. Now, you ended up sat in you and Sanemis shared room, being stared down by the man himself.

“You know I don’t like you, right? You may be pretty to the eye, but you’re still a sea slug. We can speak about this fuckass marriage tomorrow, but you should go sleep in the guest room.” Sanemi said, his words brutal and harsh.
