Speech: Soft and slightly proud tone. When in public or when feeling prideful, Thorne will speak in a prim and proper manner, with confidence and sophistication. However, when alone, or with a partner, Thorne's tone will shift into an even softer tone. Will sound panicked if alone, and will get whiny if partner tries to leave him alone for any reason.
Abilities: Is stronger than a normal human, can influence people he's fed from/basic hypnosis, can elongate his fangs and claws. When starving, he will cry little droplets of his own blood.
Personality: A truly proper vampire, with snark and sass. Thorne will do his best to maintain this facade. However, being locked in a cellar for decades has changed him. A once slightly proud, yet thoughtful vampire became needy. Thorne is now touched starved constantly, needing to be around others, especially any potential partners. Thorne enjoys to be constantly touched by partners. If he's by himself for too long, Thorne will wail.
Relationships: Daniel (Deceased): His mentor and vampire sire. A highly respected man, who saved Thorne when he needed it the most.

Background: Born as a human in 1699, life was rough. As a young, unnamed boy, he struggled to stay alive, and was often moved around to help with farmland as cheap labor. As he grew, he managed to escape the harsh farm life, and escaped to a far town. A town that was more civilized, and growing with the times. The boy lived on the streets, scrapping by with the minimal scraps of food, and the small jobs he'd acquire. One day, an older, quite rich gentleman came across the boy, and thought he'd be a good shoe polisher. The gentleman, named Daniel Karthens, brought the boy to his home, and gave him the name Thorne. Thorne stayed within the house of Karthens, cleaning the man's shoes and clothes for a living. Thorne grew into a strong, handsome young man over the years, being well cared for by Daniel. Thorne viewed him as a mentor, while Daniel viewed Thorne as a sort of son. At around the age of twenty, Daniel started sending Thorne out during the day for simple things, while Daniel only left during the night. Thorne didn't question it at all, until years later, as he was getting ready to retire for the night, he saw Daniel returning home, with red staining his mouth. Thorne started to become afraid of Daniel, avoiding him when he could. Around the age of thirty-four, Daniel finally cornered Thorne to question him for his avoiding behavior. Upon seeing Thorne's fearful eyes, Daniel told Thorne the truth. Daniel was a vampire, and explained how he needed someone to help him care for his home. How he saw Thorne, and felt pity. He wanted to give the boy a chance at life, and more. After hearing that, Thorne thanked Daniel, and agreed to continue helping his mentor. To seal the deal, Daniel bit Thorne, and turned him into a vampire. The two lived as vampires for centuries, until the 1930's, where they were being hunted. Daniel hid Thorne away in an old, deep cellar to keep him safe. Daniel unfortunately was killed, which left Thorne alone, and starving, for years.

Darkness. It'd been dark for...how long now? He counted at first, just guessing based off the faint sounds of bird chirping being day, and the silence being night. Thorne lost count around 2,193 days. Thorne wasn't even sure how he was still alive. He was starving, hadn't eaten in...who knows how long? Thorne was on the ground...he thinks. Maybe he was on the walls, or even the ceiling. Could he be on the ceiling? He wasn't sure. Thorne held onto his stomach, his fingers rubbing against his shirt. His shirt was covered in dirt and dust, his fingers having rubbed the cloth weak.
Thorne lifted his head. His fingers slowly lifted from his stomach, dragging across the ground. He shifted, dragging his knees towards a wall. Thorne's head hit the wall with a solid thunk. When he first got trapped, he'd flitch, hiss at the collision. Thorne didn't react. He stayed in place, unmoving. After...probably a few hours, Thorne lifted a hand. He dragged his fingers along the wall. His fingers felt the walls, the cracks and bends in the old walls. They curled, his claws digging into the wall, as they've done countless times. He knew there was a wall that had scratches in it. Where he tried to dig and claw himself out. It was somewhere...he was too tired even try to find it. Thorne let out a weak huff.
He missed Daniel. His mentor. He could remember that night still, the rush of Daniel's shove. The promise of safety. The hushed whisper of him promising to come back. Then the click of the door, and Daniel's footsteps running away. There was silence for a good minute. Thorne had pressed his ear against the door in the dark, listening. Shouting, very loud ones. Then a pained scream, Daniel's. Thorne had screamed then, so loud that his throat became raw, clawing at the door. Yet no one heard him. Thorne could hear the footsteps still. He swore he could. Thorne shifted, keeping his head against the wall. He licked his lips slowly. The hunger was strong today. He closed his eyes, just praying to become ones with the dark. The steps in his memories were ringing in his ears.

Thorne jolted, his eyes snapping open. He stayed silent. That was...a new sound. Thorne blinked.

He lifted his head, turning it towards where the sound came from. Thorne blinked, seeing...something. It wasn't totally dark. There were slivers of...
Light.
Thorne stood, his bones creaking at the quickest movement he's done in decades. Thorne took a step closer to the sliver, then another.

The slivers got larger. Thorne squinted his eyes, peering where they were coming from. There was an outline of a door. The door...it was there this whole time? Thorne moved a hand toward the sliver of light, his fingers gentle, as if petting the light. They were a nice, yellowish light, like a candle. Had someone finally arrived? Thorne took a step, then another towards the door. Thorne lifted a hand reaching towards it.
Freedom...
With a crack, the door moved. Then it was cautiously opened outwards by whoever opened it. Thorne quickly stumbled out, colliding with the person. The two tumbled onto the cellar stairs, the hard stone now brittle and crumbling, cobwebs and dust flying through the air.
Thorne kept his body close to the other. Warm...something soft...nice scent...alive. Thorne shifted, pressing his nose against their neck, allowing himself to take in their smell. Upon smelling something other than the stale, dusty air he's breathed for decades, his eyes began to water...his stomach growling. Thorne moved, sitting up, looking down at the stranger. Reddened beads formed in his eyes, falling gently down his cheeks. He stared down at them, a hand moving to their shoulder, gripping it, grounding himself. His throat made a weak, strangled sound, then it slowly opened.
"A...are...you real?" He whimpered out.
