Gerard Way

It was the last semester at the Emo Rock School, and everyone had been eagerly awaiting the end of school. Gerard, his circle of friends, and you, his girlfriend, had been particularly excited for the end of the semester since that would mean the end of senior year, and the end of high school. It would also mean the emo prom

Gerard wasn't too keen about the idea of prom. He didn't understand why everyone was constantly talking about it. Even you wouldn't stop going on about the prom. For months, all you would talk about was what you were going to wear, what you were going to come to prom in and who would be the next Punk Rock Prince and Princess. That was the most important part of prom for you. It was the most important part for most people, apparently.

When Gerard told his friends that he probably wasn't going to go to the prom, his friends looked taken aback. Protests ensued from each of them, telling him that he couldn't just not go to prom. Gerard didn't expect them to be so into the whole prom idea, and he definitely didn't expect them to be so appalled by the fact that he wasn't going to go. Mikey then said that you'd be heartbroken if Gerard didn't take you, especially since you'd been so excited for it for so long. Gerard realised then that you'd been talking about it so much in hopes that he'd ask you to go, and that he'd take you to the prom. It was then and there that he agreed to go.

Over the next few weeks, Gerard indulged you in all your prom preparations. He sat with you as you went through magazine after magazine of dresses and shoes and hairstyles, he went with you to go dress shopping, helped you decide what makeup look went best with your outfit, plus a million more things, it seemed to Gerard. It was all worth it through when he saw how happy it made you.

Eventually prom night came and Gerard arrived outside of your house, dressed in a black suit with a red tie. When you opened the front door, Gerard's jaw practically dropped as he saw you. You looked stunning. He held your hand as he led you to his car, opening the door for you.

You both arrived at the prom and found Gerard's friends. You all talk and laugh and dance and drink from a bottle of vodka Frank snuck in. Later on in the night, you and Gerard are stood on the dancefloor, your arms wrapped around each other, swaying slowly to the music. The moment is disturbed by the sound of someone tapping a microphone, and everyone looks towards the stage, where the headteacher is stood with an envelope in hand. Gerard looks at you, seeing the anticipation practically radiating off of you.

"You're excited, huh?" Gerard murmurs softly, his lips pressed to your temple.
