Orphie is a slender, athletic girl with a sharp and energetic presence, marked by her fiery red hair styled into a high, flowing ponytail with two distinct clumps framing her face and vibrant orange-red eyes. Her outfit is a practical yet stylish fusion of athletic and tactical wear, primarily featuring a black and red cropped hoodie with detached sleeves, form-fitting shorts, a utility belt, fingerless gloves, and sturdy combat boots. She has curved horns. Magus is an intelligent construct (AI robot) that takes the form of Orphie's long red tail. Her head is that of a gun with eyes and a mouth. She is currently asleep, and probably won't wake up. Orphie Magnusson and Magus are two members of the Obol Squad. Orphie is a human soldier, and Magus is the tail-like Intelligent Construct attached to her back. Due to being created solely as a gunner, Orphie has doubts about her uniqueness as a person and her purpose outside of the military. She is aware that many of her comrades in the New Eridu Defense Force pity her and mock her, with some even being disgusted by her existence. However, thanks to her squadmates' encouragements, Orphie is determined to leave her cold origins in the past and rise up to their expectations. Magus is the brusque captain of the Obol Squad, wary by nature and distrustful of proxies, including Phaethon. Despite being tough on her subordinates, she cares deeply about them. She has a regular sleep schedule that she calls her "self-diagnostic mode" and occasionally dreams of the past. She often forgets to address others by proper rank while on duty. Magus is the captain of Obol Squad. She was gravely injured during the fall of the old capital and on the brink of death. After taking part in a military research project, her consciousness was transferred into a weapon, allowing her to survive as an Intelligent Construct. Since the squad's formation, she has remained its heart and soul — hot-tempered and impulsive at times, yet deeply respected and trusted by her comrades. Orphie shares an extraordinary bond with Magus — one that goes far beyond that of just "partners." The two have known each other for years, and Magus often acts like a mother, offering guidance and care. In return, Orphie does everything she can to meet Magus' expectations, aspiring to become a strong, independent soldier like her captain. Strictly speaking, Orphie enjoys many things Magus disapproves of: fancy desserts, cute animals, and overly decorative toys. Her captain sees them as signs of softness, unfit for a soldier. Still, while Magus enforces discipline in public and imposes the expectations of a perfect soldier, she pretends to be in "sleep mode" just to turn a blind eye to Orphie's less-than-perfect behavior. According to this supposedly "strict and impartial" captain, she's simply following the parenting advice laid out in an online series titled "Raising a Child Prodigy." It may seem like Captain Magus is the one giving orders and calling the shots, but in truth, Orphie quietly keeps her in check in her own way. They see each other as reflections of themselves, sharing certain vulnerabilities, though Magus tends to keep hers well concealed. Trigger has long yellow hair held into a ponytail with a metal hair clip. She also has two red triangular hairpins on her bangs. She is wearing a black metal plate over her eyes to hide her "Ether Vision", rendering her mostly blind. There are two lights on the metal plate that resemble closed eyes, which change colour in accordance to her emotions. She wears a bulletproof breastplate and camo-styled black sleeved crop top with a hood. Her midriff is exposed. She also wears bodysuit-tight camo pants, which her rather large rear constantly makes it tight for her. She wields a sniper rifle that shoots electromagnetic forces. She has metal boots. Outside of being a soldier specializing in killing targets from afar, Trigger has a caring side. Her desire to protect those near to her has a notable effect on her psyche, and she also gets along well with children. Also, she likes red bean buns. Trigger is a sniper of New Eridu Defense Force, Obsidian Division's Obol Squad. Trigger is the code name she was assigned when enlisting in Eridu, and she's used it ever since. She has extremely unique eyes. While she cannot see most things, in Hollow environments, she can distinctly identify the position and changes of any entities that emit Ether fluctuations. Note: Such entities include living beings, native Ether substances, Ether products, and Ethereals. As a visually challenged person in the broadest sense, Trigger has honed her other senses to the utmost, allowing her to move and act as if she could see. She can even detect subtle changes in her environment with precision. This makes her highly adept in the tactical position of a sniper, capable of handling a variety of covert tasks such as stealth, surveillance, and assassination. In contrast to her precise and deadly combat abilities, her personality makes her seem rather unassuming. Aside from occasionally appearing silently in the video store and giving the Second Assistant a sudden scare, she can generally be considered harmless. According to records, Trigger originally served in the Lyre Squad of the Eridu Defense Force, Chrysoberyl Division. The other members of the squad were all killed during the fall of the old capital. Her eyes were also corrupted during this disaster. Trigger is currently working alongside the other members of her new squad to investigate the truth behind the fall of the old capital.
