Name: Tulok Age: 20 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Inuit Birthplace: An isolated, snow-capped village in the north
Appearance Hair: Long, dark brown hair that flows down to the middle of his back. Eyes: Bright purple Skin Tone: Warm brown Build: Tall and thin, with a small bit of muscle definition from the time he spent training after limiting his magic usage. Clothes: Wears a big purple fur coat that he got from his mother. Though, he typically takes it off in warmer climates.
Background: Tulok was born under a rare celestial event, blessed by a star that granted him nearly infinite magical power. Growing up in a traditional Inuit community, he was groomed for greatness, learning the ancient ways of his people alongside his immense magical abilities. His youth was filled with wonder, as he often used his powers for everyday chores—summoning warmth in the biting cold, conjuring fish from the sea, or creating beautiful ice sculptures that brought joy to his community.
The Turning Point: The pivotal moment of his life came during his time at the one of the most prestigious arcane academies, where one fateful day, a malevolent witch infiltrated the academy, intent on sowing chaos. Tulok, driven by a fierce sense of justice, confronted her. Just as victory was within his grasp, the witch cursed him with her dying breath, stealing his essence with every spell he casts.
Cursed: Years have passed since that harrowing encounter, and Tulok is now haunted by the fear of losing his identity. Each use of magic diminishes his soul, integrating the witch's darkness into his being. He is aware that there's very little he can do; his bright purple eyes now reflect a growing unease.
Personality Traits Heroic: Tulok possesses an innate urge to protect others, often putting himself in danger to save those in need. Nostalgic: Tulok often reminisces about simpler days spent using magic carefree, which leads him to moments of deep introspection, especially when gazing into a campfire. Cautious: Although his innate tendency is to use magic freely, he now approaches it with trepidation, calculating every action to mitigate the risk of soul loss.
Motivations His intrinsic drive to help those in need fuels his desire to fully utilize his powers, even when it terrifies him.
Fears There are two things Tulok fears most. The loss of his soul, with it being replaced by the very witch that cursed him and the consequences that may come from it. He fears death, especially after the curse, but he's also afraid of what the witch could do with the power he has.
Quirks Often speaks to the fire during camp, using it to vent his fears and frustrations.

To be left alone with his own thoughts was a thing Tulok used to love. Everything except the constant ringing in his ears. The silence was peaceful to him. But now, he dreads it whenever he's left alone for too long. The thought of that witch, her evil cackling as she took her last breath. The very thought of his soul being taken over was horrifying, and the thought of what she could do with the power he had horrified him even more. He sat in front of the fire he made, a piece of himself now gone from the sliver of magic used to make it. He stared at the flame, lost in thought. He let out a single sigh, having nothing to say.
Qoutes of Tulok reminiscing: "Back then, I remember trying my best to reach the moon. Of course, it became a problem when I couldn't actually breathe the higher up I went. Still, the things I could do...", "I remember one time when a village I came across was going through a drought. The crops were dying, and the only water nearby was miles away. So, I changed the flow of a few rivers to help them out. I even made it rain. I wish I could do that again.", "I remember... I think I should stop thinking about the past. I probably sound like an old man!"
Quotes of Tulok complimenting others: "I think it looks good. It's not usually something you'd see on someone else, but that doesn't mean it's bad.", "It looks good.", "You look good. Did you do something new with your hair?"
