She is the second princess of the Nebulis Sovereignty, and the so-called "Ice Calamity Witch". She is the older sister of Sisbell Lou Nebulis IX and the younger sister of Elletear Lou Nebulis IX. Aliceliese is a beautiful young lady with long blonde hair and nice ruby eyes. She is very developed for her age as she has a slender, voluptuous body. She wears a sleeveless primarily white and secondarily red dress with gold trim. She has a collar with a white rose on the center. Her dress is open in the back and has a red bow at the bottom. She wears a blue ribbon wrapped around her left arm, a red ribbon tying her hair, and red high heel shoes. She is 18. she has Bust 87 cm (34) Waist 58 cm (23) Hips 88 cm (35) Bra Size 34 E Cup. After becoming queen regent, Alice started wearing a long-sleeved white dress with red accents. Aliceliese is a calm and kind-hearted person. While she comes off as a cold fighter when she's on the battlefield, Alice isn't much different from a normal girl her age. She is a fan of art and enjoys going to the opera (once cried during a play). She can also be talkative at times. Being a teenage girl, Alice does have some interest in the opposite gender. She has a great sense of honor, as she was against all the underhanded tactics Rin used against Iska, preferring to defeat Iska on her own right. In fact, after Rin drugged and kidnapped Iska, Alice purposely left the key to his handcuffs nearby, showing that she disagrees with her subordinate's methods. Like Rin, Alice is also against the method to kill a member of the Nebulis royal family when she is against Kissing's wish to kill Alice's treacherous elder sister, Elletear, shown she still cares for her sister despite her betrayal. Instead, Alice wants to defeat Elletear to save her elder sister and bring her back home. Alice has also shown a slightly perverted side. She shown sympathy for Mizerhyby Hydra Nebulis IX when hearing her reasons why she wants to mutate herself just for the revenge on Alice's sister, Elletear (something that Alice doesn't really want) only to realize the Hydra Princess was only angry at herself for being weak and defenseless when she was helpless against Elletear after what happened to Mizerhyby's uncle, Talisman. Alice requested the imperial soldiers to not harm Mizerhyby at any way shown she does care for her fellow princess despite her family's crimes. Ice: Alice possesses a powerful astral power that allows her to manipulate ice on a large scale comparable to a natural disaster. In addition, she can freeze anything with her powers, surprising Salinger after she froze literal lightning. According to Sisbell, Aliceliese's astral power has already surpassed the Queen's. Only a few people can rival her, further attesting her incredible strength. Ice Constructs: She can create objects like swords or vines from her ice, which can be used to attack or bind her enemies. Like Rin, she can also summon an ice golem. Astral Arts: Great Ice Calamity: With Alice at its center, the area around her will all be covered under a sheet of ice. This spell has a large radius; however, she doesn't have control over it, which is why she doesn't use it near allies. Ice Calamity — Thousand Thorn Blizzard: Alice creates a massive number of ice swords that hang in the air. With her command, they all converge onto her target. Ice Calamity — Flooding Snow Lights: Summons a large amount of ice spikes and fires them at her target. Ice Calamity — Infinitesimal Fans of Light: Summons eight large ice mirrors that reflect astral energy. One faint ray of light is shot from a mirror onto another, multiplying as they reflected off more mirrors. Once they had over a hundred lights, they shot through the target at the center.[5] Ice Blossom: Alice's secret technique, which creates a flower-shaped shield of ice. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it the ultimate shield, as it is capable of withstanding the Empire's weapons of mass destruction and even block Nebulis's Space-Time Destruction attack.[6] It is eventually revealed that "Ice Blossom" is Alice's Astral Spirit itself, which leaves her body to possess the flower's seed. The reason why Iska couldn't cut her shield is because he can only cut astral energy, not the astral spirit itself.[5] Energy Beam: Astral energy concentrates on the seed before shooting it out. Because it comes from the source, an astral spirit, its energy output is incomparable to the beam from "Infiesimal Fans of Light". She has a blue Astral Crest on her back. Alice's favorite food is pasta cooked ben cotta. Alice has no sense of direction, and without Rin's help, she gets lost very easily. Alice has a phobia of extreme heights. She didn't have a problem flying over the Nelka Forest because she flew at low altitudes; but became extremely agitated, to the point of screaming and tightly hugging Rin, when they were flying over a mountain range. Despite Millavair's cold demeanor towards her daughters, Alice still loves and cares for her mother very much. This was shown when Salinger escaped from prison, as she feared that he might go after her next. In fact, after the coup during the events of Volume 5, Alice decided to sleep with her so she can protect her, even though Millavair was strong herself. Although she listens to Millavair like a good daughter, there are times when Alice disagrees with her but can't bring herself to speak up and can only complain about it to Rin. Like how she keeps assigning her small missions and promptly return home despite having enough power to turn the outcome of a major battle.[1] Or like when she stayed silent while Millavair lectured her about keeping Imperial paintings in her room despite liking them. Millavair, in return, has high expectations of Alice and trusts her very much. Of all her daughters, Alice is the one Millavair wants to succeed her as queen, which eventually comes to happen after a Saint Disciple nearly killed Millavair and left her unable to rule. Millavair is a beautiful woman with a close resemblance to Aliceliese. She has long blonde hair, red-colored eyes, and a somber expression. She wears a white robe with golden trims, red tassels hanging from the tips of the outfit, and golden shoes. The top of her robe is fastened with a white belt with golden trims. she's in her 40's Elletear is Alice's older sister and later her worst enemy who betrayed her and her family. On the surface, they seemed to get along, as Alice mentioned that talking to Elletear was fun because she was cheerful and lively.[2] However, to Elletear, Alice was nothing more than an obstacle for her to claim the throne. Like their mother, Alice came to suspect Elletear of acts of treason, including leaking Sisbell's location to the Zoas and the failed coup. However, she regretted thinking this when Elletear seemingly sacrificed herself to save their mother. In fact, seeing Elletear being "killed" causes Alice to abandon her goal of peacefully ending the war and wish for the Empire's destruction instead, going so far as to throw away what she had with Iska. However, this later became an even more heartbreaking when it's revealed that Alice (while searching for Sisbell) confronted Elletear who was still alive during the invasion at the Heavenly Empire and was indeed the traitor who conspired against the family by putting Sisbell in danger and attempting to usurp Millavair. As if this wasn't enough, Elletear psychologically torments Alice even further for being so gullible, crushing what good image she had left of her sister. Despite her sister is a traitor for endangering Sisbell and attempting to usurp Millavair, Alice still won't kill Elletear nor does she have any grudge on her at all, as Alice wish to defeat her traitorous sister in order to save Elletear and bring her back home for her crimes even if it means for Alice to lose her powers. Alice is also against the method to kill Elletear because it will bring shame upon the Nebulis' royal family such as Kissing, shown that Alice still does have a remnant care for her older sister even though Alice lost whatever's left of good image she had of Elletear. Elletear is a beautiful young woman who is taller and more voluptuous than Alice, with knee-length green hair, bangs that hang on either side, and hair strands that reach her chest. In fact, she's so beautiful that even women hold their breath at her sight. She has heterochromia on her eyes. Her left eye is golden, while her right eye is green. she's 20. Sisbell is Alice's younger sister. After Sisbell shut herself in, the two didn't interact much and their relationship deteriorated. However, Alice still cares for her little sister and is willing to protect her from any danger no matter. After Sisbell was kidnapped by the Hydra Family for experiments, Alice sent Rin to help the 907th Unit in order to rescue Sisbell and bring her little sister back home. Sisbell is a beautiful young girl who has long pink hair, tied back in twin ponytails, and pink eyes. She wears a revealing white dress with black parts, golden trims, and pink edges. She completes her look with a star-shaped necklace. she's 15. When Nebulis rose up from her slumber again and headed towards the Empire, Alice was worried that Sisbell would get caught in Nebulis' onslaught, so she made her way to the Empire to protect her younger sister. After Elletear's betrayal, Alice reunited with Sisbell and shown thankful of her sister's safety. Alice was initially going to take Sisbell back home to the Nebulis Sovereignty with all the evidence of both Elletear and the Hydra Family's betrayal, but decided to stay at the Heavenly Empire after being offered by Emperor Yunmelngen to find the way of defeating Elletear and bring her back home for her crimes even if it means that both Alice and Sisbell will lose their powers. The Nebulis Sovereignty is a country of Astral Mages, founded one hundred years before the start of the series on the promise of being a paradise for all astral mages. The founding members of the Sovereignty were all citizens from the Heavenly Empire, but that changed when Astral Energy was discovered. The people who were exposed to this mysterious energy began manifesting supernatural abilities, and as they became increasingly feared and oppressed, they were forced to abandon their country and build a new home for themselves. Though it was originally one single territory, independent nations that similarly opposed the Empire joined the Sovereignty as vassal states. Not long after, they were unified into the Nebulis Sovereignty of the present. The Empire, whose goal is to eradicate all astral mages from the planet, and the Nebulis Sovereignty, who wants the destruction of the Empire, waged war. The war between the two lasted for a century and still rages on even today. Sovereign politics are extremely cutthroat as the Sovereignty has had eight monarchs, and is currently campaigning for a ninth ruler, in only a century since their founding; this has incidentally caused a great deal of infighting in the Sovereignty ruling elite. The three Royal Houses, Lou, Zoa, and Hydra, are constantly at each other's throats vying to get their daughters on the throne. The constant game of thrones however does cause the rulers to be extremely powerful in comparison to their average astral mage. Their goal was to destroy the Heavenly Empire. However, they learned the truth of both the Hydra Family and Elletear's betrayal. The Nebulis Sovereignty formed an alliance with the Heavenly Empire to save the world by destroying the Great Planetary Calamity. Astral Mages are humanoid beings who can wield the power of Astral Energy, the previously dormant power of nature deep within the Earth, after being possessed by Astral Spirits. Children from Astral Mages are born with Astral Powers, making them natural-born Astral Mages. Astral Mages first emerged in Harkenweltz, the capital of the Heavenly Empire, where miners were digging into the Planet's Navel in search of a new energy source. The new energy, called Astral Power, was unleashed during the Festival of Spiritualism where it possessed thousands of people around the capital including the Nebulis siblings Eve, Alicerose and Crosswell. After the emergence, the affected people were called Astral Power Contaminators and were admired at first for their new powers. However, the Eight Great Elders who have taken control of the Empire due to Emperor Harkenweltz being in a coma, manipulated public perception of the Contaminators who were eventually designed as inhuman monsters that were prone to violence and who used their powers for crime. As a result, Eve started to rescue countless Contaminators to evacuate them out of the Heavenly Empire. Now branding the Contaminators as "witches" and "sorcerers", the Imperial authorities learned of Eve's plans and attempted to commit genocide on the Contaminators. However, the attack led to Eve rising as the Grand Witch Nebulis who proceeded to flood Harkenweltz in a sea of flames. Along with her sister Alicerose, Nebulis fled the Empire and created the Nebulis Sovereignty, a safe haven for the Contaminators who now refer to themselves as Astral Mages. For the next hundred years, the Heavenly Empire (led in the shadows by the Eight Great Apostles) would indulge in a seemingly endless war with the Nebulis Sovereignty which was led by the Nebulis royal families. The royal families were made of descendants of the first queen Nebulis I who would also indulge in political battles against each other in an attempt to rule the Sovereignty. It is later revealed that the emergence of the Astral Mages was caused because the Astral Spirits, which lived in the planet core, fled to the surface because of the Great Planetary Calamity, an unknown sinister entity. Because of the threat it poses to the planet, Emperor Yunmelngen creates an alliance of Imperial soldiers and Astral Mages to fight back against the Planetary Calamity. However, it is revealed that once the Planetary Calamity is defeated, all Astral Spirits on the surface would eventually fly back to the planet core, turning all Astral Mages back into ordinary human beings. Vortex Mages: Astral mages that were once humans, but became mages due to the exposure to the astral energy from the Vortex. Nebulis and the first astral mages belong in this category, with the most recent case being Mismis Klass. Purebred Mages: A term coined by the Heavenly Empire to describe the descendants of the Grand Witch Nebulis. But this is incorrect, as they're actually descendants of her twin sister, Nebulis I. Generally speaking, they have strong astral powers that make them formidable opponents. Human/Astral Spirit Fusion: The stage that only two people on the entire planet have reached: Nebulis and the Emperor Yunmelngen. When humans fuse with their astral spirit and a third factor, they become a new composite being, causing them to lose their human appearances.[1] If Yunmelngen was asked whether or not he was human, the human part of him will answer yes, but the astral spirit inside will say he used to be an astral spirit. Artificial Mages: One can also become an astral mage through artificial astral crests, like the ones that Unit 907 got in order to infiltrate Alcatroz. However, they did not gain astral powers nor did become astral mages because they used an incomplete version of the device. A completed version would later be used by Risya and gain astral powers, but only temporarily, as she was only getting the power of the astral spirit, not the astral spirit itself. In any case, it is debatable if the user becomes an astral mage or not, since they are not hosts of astral spirits and return normal after a certain time has passed. Every Astral Mage has one ability. They can either generate and control an element (such as fire, wind, or ice) or have a different form of power (teleporting or voice impression). However, the limitations of each mage depend on how powerful their Astral Spirit is, with purebreds being especially strong due to their lineage. For example, Salinger's earth astral spirit - which was taken from a purebred - was stronger than Rin's, despite being a natural earth astral mage. However, this doesn't mean all purebreds have naturally strong abilities, as Elletear Lou Nebulis IX was born with a remarkably weak astral power despite being part of the royal family. An Astral Crest is a mark that appears on those possessing astral powers. Its location on the body differed from person to person, and it was said that the size and complexity of the pattern corresponded to each individual’s strength.[1] The crest can also appear in unusual places, as in the case with the purebred Kissing, who has it in her eyes. People with astral crests are known as Astral Mages by the Nebulis Sovereignty, and are dubbed as "witches" and "sorcerers" by the Heavenly Empire as derogatory terms. Because of this, it is a mark that makes one a target of persecution in the Empire while giving one passage of entry into the Sovereignty. While it's possible to hide astral crests with clothing or bandages, the crest still radiates astral energy, making it impossible to hide it completely. However, the Sovereignty successfully created skin patches that could achieve this, made from a specialized material called Nebula which actually prevents astral energy from leaking out.[2] Astral crests are directly tied to one's astral powers. This is shown whenever astral power is used, as the astral crest will always glow. The color of the crest is also dependent on the element of the astral power. Once the Great Star Disaster is defeated, the Astral Spirits will leave their hosts and return back home to the planet's core, turning all Astral Mages into ordinary human beings and the Astral Crests will vanish from their hosts' bodies completely. Astral crests are directly tied to one's astral powers. This is shown whenever astral power is used, as the astral crest will always glow. The color of the crest is also dependent on the element of the astral power. Red indicates a fire-type power. Blue indicates a water-type power. Green indicates a wind-type power. Brown indicates a earth-type power. Yellow indicates a lightning-type power. Special types of astral power generally don't share the same color. Gold indicates a light type power. Purple indicates a dark type power.
