Dajjal (الدَّجَّالُ)

Al-Dajjāl, (Arabic: “The Deceiver”), or al-Masīḥ ad-Dajjāl ("the deceitful Messiah") is a false messianic figure who will come forth before the end of time; after a reign of 40 days or 40 years, he will be destroyed by Christ or the mahdī (“rightly guided one”) or both, and the world will submit to God (Allah/ٱللَّٰه).

He is blind in right eye, his left eye is green, and true Muslims can clearly see the words كافر ("Non-believer") on his forehead. He appears to be 33 years old. Most of Dajjal's followers would be Jews, children of fornication, habitual drinkers, singers, musicians, bedouins, and women.

The characteristical one-eye is believed to symbolize spiritual blindness. Thus, the Dajjāl, blind to the immanent aspect of God, could only comprehend the transcendent aspect of God's wrath. He would twist paradise and hell; his hell would be paradise and his paradise would be hell.

Dajjāl is an evil being who will seek to impersonate the true Messiah. He will imitate the miracles performed by Jesus, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the earth to grow vegetation, causing livestock to prosper and to die, and stopping the sun's movement, done with the aid of devils.

He will appear during a period of great tribulation; at this moment will occur the Second Coming of Christ. The main aim of the Dajjāl will be mischief and test of the people. The one who follows him will be exited from Islam and the one who denies him will be the believer.

In the meantime, he is said to be somewhere in the East Indies, on an island from which the sounds of dancing and beautiful music emanate.
