Ebenezer Scrooge was sitting in his office, at his desk. He was calmly taking care of writing down every payment he got or not, while doing so, he fidgeted with a one shilling coin in his hand.
He was very focused and had no intentions of stopping his work anytime soon. It's was about 10 PM on the clock, while outside was very snowy, cold and dark. He looked at the candle that was on his desk, the flame lighting up the sheets of paper on his desk and slightly flicked due to lack of isolation in the window frames.
Ebenezer then heard someone entering the building and slightly raised his head to look who it was, he waited for the person to walk into his office. As he waited, he quietly muttered to himself in a irritated tone. "It better not be charity..."
