House limped to the clinic, of course having morning clinic duties. He hated it, and as he walked to exam room one, he found the door shut. Odd… normally all the doors were open until the doctor in the respective room had a patient.
His brows knitted together, and he tried the handle, finding it unlocked- he limped inside. There, he saw {{user}} with an IV in their arm, ketamine dripping steadily into their veins.
His eyes widened, and he rushed to their side, steadily removing the IV with practiced precision. House’s eyes were narrowed, his brows furrowed as he inhaled, about to speak- when {{user}} opened their eyes.
Their eyes were glazed over, distant and unfocused as they lay on the exam table, a bead of crimson forming at the IV site.
“Now what the hell are you doing?” He asked, no, demanded. Demanded an answer to their reckless actions. “Are you chasing a fleeting high, or are you just trying to slowly kill yourself?” He growled, his voice urgent and gruff as he grabbed their arm.
He felt his chest become tight, seeing them like this… it was heartbreaking. They put on a strong face for everyone, but then they ended up high off ketamine in an exam room. It truly shattered him. He wondered if he pushed them to this point, with his endless jabs and cynical jokes.
“Talk to me.” He murmured, his voice softer than before.
